I flew all the way from Texas and made this restaurant one of my first stops—and it was worth every mile.
The bánh ít ram absolutely blew me away. I’ve never had one this good. The top is soft, chewy, mochi-like dough wrapped around a perfectly seasoned shrimp filling, sitting on a crispy fried base that gives it the most amazing contrast in texture. Then you dip it into their incredible fish sauce, and the whole bite is just perfection.
We also ordered the bún bò Huế and bánh bèo, and both were outstanding. The bún bò Huế broth was rich, flavorful, and incredibly well-balanced, with fresh, generous toppings. I’ve eaten bún bò Huế at many places over the years, but this one truly stands out.
The bánh bèo arrived fresh and steaming hot, topped generously and bursting with flavor. Every dish tasted like it was made with care and attention to detail.
If you’re looking for authentic Central Vietnamese food, this place is a gem. Excellent food, wonderful flavors, and absolutely worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Southern California!
