  Bun Bo hue was tasty. I enjoyed the long fishballs and the different types of mint that came with the food. I was missing some sauce options: pickled peppers, hoisin, vinegar based spicy options. But the tradition is clearly strong here and I recommend giving it a shot.

  WORTH THE HYPE FOR THE BANH IT RAM. Call 15 minutes ahead since they make it to order. 4 pieces for $17.43 after taxes, and SO WORTH IT. The bottom is the perfect amount of crispy, crunchy, and rice-y, not to mention not overly oily whatsoever! What sits on top of the crispy rice is a soft chewy rice dumpling filled with shrimp and pork belly WHICH IS SO GOOD, savory with a hint of sweetness. I wish there was more protein! The combination of crispy rice with the chewy dumpling is SO worth it, not to mention they're huge. What ties everything together is the scallion/shallot oil, it's so savory! Their fish sauce is so good, you could drink it like soup. Would absolutely come back, I'm craving it right now!

  I finally got to check out this lovely Vietnamese restaurant and I’m so happy I did. The food was delicious and it was very nice service. They really paid attention to what I needed. I will be back.

  The Banh Beo is consistently very good and the fish sause that comes with it is on point. The Bun Bo Hue is hit and miss though. My first time eating here about 2 months ago, the BBH was pretty good, but the last two times, it was very bland and I had to at mam tom & nuoc mam, but it still didn't have the authentic flavors that you would expect with this dish. The rest of the ingredients are good though. It's not difficult to get BBH flavors right, but it's so hard to find any restaurant in OC that makes it good consistently. I guess I'll keep searching for the right spot. One of the key ingredients is cooking a pineapple core in the soup for that unique sublte sweetness. Unfortunately, you can tell that they don't do that here. Service is good, however, the same lady that has taken our oder each time always pushes really hard for us to order rau ma drink, which I don't like. Even when I tell her no thank you, she keeps pushing, so it makes the experience a bit awkward & frustrating that she doesn't respect that we don't want it. Parking can be tough and spots are tight. This is a big plaza with heavy traffic. If you come around noon or 5pm on weekends, expect to wait around for parking and a wait at the door for a table.
