After 10 years in West Hollywood, Catch LA enters a new era with a renewed food-first mentality and a sharpened focus on service and experience. The restaurant debuts a refreshed design by the renowned Rockwell Group alongside an evolved menu built around its iconic seafood, steak, and sushi program, with fish flown in from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market.
Designed for a streaming, shareable style, the menu features signatures like the Catch Roll, Truffle Sashimi, and Wagyu Fried Rice alongside new additions including Grilled Shishito Peppers, Crudo di Catch, and Angry Lobster Pasta. Returning favorites like Pretzel Croissant Pull Apart Bread and Baked Lobster Mac & Cheese are reimagined, while a refined cocktail program highlights the Catch Dirty Martini, served with furikake mascarpone olives, alongside the Fluffy Margarita and Bananas Foster Old Fashioned.
Perched above the corner of Melrose and San Vicente in the heart of the West Hollywood Design District, Catch LA’s retractable rooftop offers an open-air dining room with sweeping views from Downtown Los Angeles to the Hollywood Hills, pairing the city’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle with the lively energy that has made Catch LA a destination for a decade.
Their customer service is repulsive, we were celebrating a birthday dinner and they wouldn't let us finish our food and tried to kick us out even when they said they close at midnight they were trying to kick us out a half hour BEFORE and we all GOT ILL from the dinner. THEY USED A GIANT SECURITY GUY TO STAND BY US WHEN WE ASKED TO FINISH OUT FOOD FOR FIVE MORE MINUTES JUST TO INTIMIDATE US, TALK ABOUT TOXIC MASCULINITY. Their hit me dessert is also overrated trash it tastes like grocery store cake.

Had an amazing experience at Catch LA. The atmosphere is stylish and energetic with one of the best rooftop vibes in Los Angeles. The food was excellent from start to finish fresh sushi, great cocktails, and perfectly cooked dishes like the mushed potatoes amazing !. The service was attentive and welcoming, making the whole evening feel special. Definitely a great spot for a dinner date, celebration, or just a fun night out with friends. Highly recommend if you want good food, beautiful ambiance, and a true LA experience.

I recently visited Catch LA to celebrate their 10-year anniversary and experience the newly redesigned space and updated menu. Unfortunately, what should have been a celebratory evening turned into one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences my party and I have had in Los Angeles.
From the moment we sat down, our waiter’s demeanor felt cold, dismissive, and condescending. When we asked simple questions about the menu and new dishes, we were met with sarcastic comments like, “What does it read on the menu?” and “The picture is an outline drawing.” Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt belittled for simply trying to understand the menu offerings.
At first, we tried to brush it off and give the benefit of the doubt, but the tone and attitude continued throughout the interaction. We eventually requested to speak with a manager, hoping the situation could be handled professionally. Unfortunately, the response from management felt just as dismissive and lacking in empathy.
What made the experience even more uncomfortable was noticing the clear difference in how other guests around us were being greeted and served. My party and I were the only table of color in the restaurant at the time, and it became difficult not to notice the contrast in warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality shown to others versus what we experienced. Whether intentional or not, we left feeling singled out, unwelcome, and disrespected.
Ultimately, we decided to leave the restaurant entirely. No one celebrating a special occasion should walk away feeling uncomfortable or diminished.
A beautiful space and trendy atmosphere mean very little if guests are not treated with respect and genuine hospitality. Hopefully, this feedback is taken seriously because experiences like this should never happen to anyone.
I wanted to share this feedback honestly because hospitality is not just about design, atmosphere, or menu updates; it is about how people are treated. In today’s climate, respect, inclusivity, and genuine hospitality matter more than ever.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity for reflection and improvement moving forward.

Thank you for being a part of celebrating my son’s national gold medal at the US Academic Decathlon! Everything about this place was great. We were sure to make a reservation as we were only in town for a few days. Upon entry, we were greeted and rode the elevator to the top floor. The host staff was extremely friendly and walked us to our table. We sat outside and the heaters and roof kept us warm and dry even though it was chilly and rainy.
The food was amazing. The spinach artichoke salad is delicious. The yuzo-miso vinaigrette is a must try. We proceeded to order a prime NY strip steak and lobster. These were nothing less than spectacular. We ended the meal with a pistachio cheese cake with a coconut cream sorbet.
Aside from the food, the cocktails are professionally constructed. My favorite was the macadamia white Negroni. My wife’s was the banana fosters old fashioned.
I highly recommend if you find yourself in LA and are looking for that real LA experience!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Catch LA has been incredibly disappointing. Our first visit was a mess—there were blatant price discrepancies on both the dessert and drinks menus compared to what we were charged, and the service was so disorganized that we were constantly being passed between different servers. To top it off, our side of fries actually arrived at the same time as our dessert.
After that experience, the Assistant General Manager, Walter, personally reached out and assured us that if we came back, he would personally "take care of us" to ensure an amazing second experience.
We decided to give them another chance and spent nearly $800 on a full meal. Unfortunately, it was just another letdown. Despite his promises, Walter didn't even bother to stop by our table to acknowledge us. Instead of comping a round of drinks or a portion of the items we actually ordered, they sent out random, unrequested items we didn't want—a hollow gesture rather than genuine hospitality.
To make matters worse, after I reached out to management to express my disappointment, they completely ghosted me. Multiple follow-up emails have been ignored. It's unacceptable to lure customers back with empty promises of VIP treatment, only to deliver subpar service and then ignore them when they complain. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its customers.
