Tried this place recently because my usual takeout place was closed. The food is a bit pricy for chinese food but the staff is very friendly. While I did not dine here and just did takeout I will say the pictures of the place don't do it justice. It's much prettier in person. Main issue for me was the food. It was well cooked but allot of the sauce based items seemed both under sauced and lacked much flavor. But allot of american style chinese food is more like candy. While this is styled like americanized chinese food it might actually be more palatable to people who like things less sweet, so take that into consideration. All in all this ones not for me but maybe it could be for you.

Pretty good for some Cantonese food. In terms of flavor, I am quite picky, and imo, this is not in the first tier.

The WORST chicken fried rice I have ever had. Incredibly bland. There was a large volume of rice interspersed with a stingy amount of small bits of chicken, frozen peas, and frozen bits of carrot. I would have added some flavor from soy sauce but my To Go order only had one small packet, which couldn’t begin to doctor this BLAND dish. My To Go order had no napkins and no utensils, so I had to improvise to eat it. Definitely won’t go back here.

A nice cozy Chinese restaurant for dinner. East Ocean serves a delicious food at reasonable prices. The portions were pretty generous too.

Came here for dim sum for lunch. It was meh. Alot of msg. The keystone to test it all is the ha gaw and the wrap was very thick, filling was also ok. Nothing special. However the star of our order was the amazing bok choy with garlic. It was perfectly cooked and a bright green. It was also cut in a way that highlights the vegetable. It really was spectacular. We also got the bok choy in oyster sauce, which was still good. Got chow mein... Was meh... Alot of thick noodles, not enough shrimp. I would go back for that bok choy...it was that good. I hope our experience is not a one off, and only because whoever cooked it that day just was able to channel the food gods.
