When I entered the store, one employee was working on a cake while no one was available at the counter. I waited approximately 5–10 minutes before another employee finally came out to assist me. I clearly ordered one cup with two scoops: Cookies & Cream on the bottom and another flavor on top. The employee informed me that she needed to get the Cookies & Cream from the back, which I had no problem with. However, there was repeated confusion regarding a very simple order. She seemed to think I wanted two separate cups, and even after I clarified multiple times that I wanted one cup with two scoops, the misunderstanding continued. The interaction became increasingly frustrating because of the employee’s attitude. When she asked whether I wanted lids, I was confused since I had only ordered one cup, and when I asked for clarification, her responses came across as dismissive and condescending. After I once again explained my order, she stated, “That’s not what you said,” in a manner that felt unnecessarily argumentative rather than helpful. What should have been a simple ice cream order turned into an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Mistakes happen, but the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and condescending attitude made the situation far worse than it needed to be. As a result of the way I was treated, I chose not to purchase anything. After waiting several minutes and being spoken to in a dismissive and disrespectful manner, I felt it would have been disrespectful to myself to reward that kind of customer service with my business. I left without the ice cream I originally came in to buy. I hope management addresses both customer service and employee training at this location. I also have a video of the interaction and would be willing to provide it if management wishes to review what occurred.

As locals, it’s one of our favorite places to stop for ice cream, whether it’s for an everyday treat or to celebrate special occasions. The staff is a hit or miss regarding friendliness but when it comes to a simple scoop I’ve never had an issue! Recently, I celebrated my 21st birthday and received a cake from this location. My mom picked it up and mentioned that there was a second one to display in their cake showcase joking that the employees must have liked doing the floral decorations. Unfortunately, during the four-minute drive home, the cake had structure completely shifted apart with the middle billowing out on both sides. By the time it arrived, it lost all structural integrity and was merely a cake in some sort of blob flat like shape, no height nor definition. It seemed as though the cake may not have been fully set before it was given to us, despite the order having been placed four days in advance. I debated writing this review but I suggest people be wary (I’m not sure if it’s a reoccurring issue but nonetheless). Never thought we would have this problem, especially since it’s so close and such a short drive. I would hate for someone who has a longer drive than us to go home and have the cake completely fallen apart. We still enjoyed every bite because the cake was absolutely delicious. It was a bit of a letdown, especially since we experienced a cake mishap last year as well when my birthday cake was decorated with someone else’s message. My family loves the local aspect of this location since it makes cakes so easy but we hope they can fix their attention to detail:)
