El tarasco has delicious Mexican food hands down! Very disappointed that they charge $4.00 now for chips and salsa even though they take forever to bring out the food. We’re just suppose to sit any watch everyone around us eat. Chips and salsa should continue to be free just like any restaurant. You guys are getting stingy.

Atmosphere was nice and the staff are excellent 👌 I especially like that they make the Guacamole dip right in front of you and the drinks at the bar are nice ! But , the food was just OK ! Frankly disappointing after having such exceptional service ! At least it wasn't to expensive

My experience at El Tarasco in Visalia was okay overall. The food was good and came out fresh. It satisfied the cravings.
Service was fine and staff was polite. The atmosphere was comfortable, but pretty standard.
It’s a solid option if you’re in the area and want a good drink. Just an fyi , place can get busy on weekend evenings due to the bar.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decent service, but the food was absolutely terrible. The portions are small for the prices and we were actually were looking at other menu items for a future visit but that’s definitely not happening. We ordered camarones al mojo de ajo and something within the shrimp was definitely expired/bad the smell was rancid, I smelt it before I even tasted it but as soon as I tried it I immediately took the shrimp out of my mouth and put it back, I had my boyfriend try it as well to confirm and he also spit out the food. I told the server and told her she could smell it for herself and she pretended as if there wasn’t a funky smell. We also ordered camarones ala diabla without onion and when they brought it sure enough it had onion which was not a huge deal. Once we paid we were asked how everything was we said okay and the man up front didn’t even bother to ask why or apologize for the bad food. Safe to say we unfortunately not be back.
