This location needs corporate oversight and serious reform.
I do not typically eat McDonald’s, but this location is right next to my house and should be a quick, convenient spot on lazy days; however, they consistently miss the mark. This was not my first bad experience here, but it will absolutely be my last.
Staff:
The staff is dismissive at best. Do not come here expecting to be acknowledged, helped, or treated like a paying customer. They push customers toward the kiosks so aggressively that they will ignore people standing at the counter. And when you finally do get someone’s attention, the response is usually rude, careless, or completely unhelpful.
Even when the kiosk is the problem, the solution is apparently to send you to another kiosk rather than actually assist you. It feels less like efficiency and more like a way to avoid basic customer service, communication, and accountability.
Food:
I have a hard time believing McDonald’s corporate standard is this low, so I will keep this specific to this location.
The fried items taste like they are coming out of old, dirty oil. The fries I received were half-filled, cold, soggy, limp, and tasted like they were fried in motor oil. The chicken nuggets were cold, dense, crumbly, and had a texture closer to cardboard than chicken. Both the McDouble and McChicken buns were so burnt they looked completely unacceptable to serve.
This was not a matter of “fast food not being gourmet.” This was food that should not have been handed to a customer.
Facility:
The dining room is consistently uncomfortable. Today, it felt hotter and muggier inside than it did outside. The AC clearly was not doing its job, assuming it was even being used.
The dining area is also consistently neglected. It is not always catastrophically filthy, but it never feels clean either. It looks like tables, floors, and common areas are not being properly maintained between customers or throughout the day.
As for the restrooms, skip them. Hold it until you get home. Trust me.
Ownership/Management:
This location is reportedly owned by the Marroquin family, operating as “The McMarro Family,” which appears to own multiple McDonald’s locations throughout the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley, and Ventura areas, along with other restaurants (53 in total).
With an operation that large, there is no excuse for this level of service, food quality, cleanliness, and basic customer neglect.
All those restaurants, all that revenue, and this location still cannot provide fresh fries, decent service, a clean dining room, or even a basic soda refill?
This location is not just underperforming; it is embarrassing. I’ll be sure the Marroquin family does not receive my business, under any of their fictional family names, whatsoever.
