  I ordered the pizza thru app with Apple Pay for carry out and didn’t want to make my order until they saw my id in person ( who does that when your paying thru your personal device) And lied to me that they called me several times to confirm my order when I didn’t receive any call or mssg from them. Terrible service not going back they’re again and showed fake order completion notification on my app when I was still waiting for my order to place in oven. Waited for more than 30 mins to complete the order.

  I’m submitting this complaint regarding my recent experience at this Papa John’s location on Foothill in Upland. It was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve had. Shortly after placing my order, the store called and told me I needed to bring my ID and credit card to verify the purchase. I explained that I paid through Apple Pay, not with a physical card. I was then told that showing my Apple Pay confirmation would be enough and that I would have no issue picking up my order. When I arrived, I showed my payment confirmation, order confirmation, and proof through my account that I was the person who placed and paid for the order. Despite this, the manager refused to accept it as valid proof. He then said he would release my food only as a “courtesy” and that it was a “one-time only” exception. That was insulting. I was not asking for a favor. I was trying to receive food I had already paid for. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager blamed fraud committed by other people. That is not the customer’s fault and should not be used as an excuse to mistreat paying customers. To make matters worse, the owner followed me outside continuing to justify the policy rather than resolving the issue. It felt confrontational and unnecessary. I paid in advance, complied with the instructions I was given, and still had to deal with stress, wasted time, and disrespect. This location needs serious improvement in customer service, communication, and management training. You cannot tell a customer one thing over the phone, then create problems when they arrive after following your instructions. Because of how poorly this was handled, I will not be returning to this location. For anyone else who went through this mistreatment, just know you are not alone.

  Delivery driver more concerned about his tip. Didn't even offer parmesan cheese or pepper flakes. Pizza is losing its quality. Just not the same anymore. Time to switch Pizza.
