While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Upland,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

- WGWendy Massiel Castañeda GutiérrezAug 3, 20261.0"I’ve always enjoyed this location because the food quality is superior to other nearby locations, but my visit yesterday was deeply disappointing. While the food remained great, the service from the young male cashier was unacceptable. After waiting patiently for a staff member to finish a drive-thru order, he approached me in a condescending manner calling out to me as if I were a pet and ask me what I need it , I asked to use the restroom, he was rude and open one of the restrooms for my friend and told me you are gonna have to wait the other restroom is for men, despite the 'gender-neutral' signage on the doors. I have never experienced such hostility here before, but this behavior made us feel unwelcome as paying customers. I hope management addresses this."
