- NNNyoAug 31, 20263.0Outside of Jackson Street in Hayward location (now closed as of February of this year) The Decoto Road location in Union City, is starting to provide poor service as well. I have placed several orders on the Safeway app, which btw is an absolute nightmare to navigate and today was the straw that broke the camel's back. For example, the app would not allow me to preview the substitute that the shopper recommended for 2 items. It gave me an error message that would not process the request. Then, when I tried to chat with the shopper, I got a virtual assistant, which was useless. Not only that, this particular location seems to be out of more than 2 items from my cart most times and shoppers make poor choices as recommended substitutes. I think it's time to move on to others stores in search of better service. It sucks when you pay for a premium service (such as Fresh pass) to get savings on every day items or frequently bought items and have those items be frequently out of stock. The fresh pass is no longer worth the money, as well as patronage.
