NOTE TO READERS: note all the negative reviews. Note the copy paste response from “OWNER“. Note to the soul assigned to respond to all of your one star reviews: I’m not filling out a form on your website. If you care, tell me in your response, what you’re going to do to make up for this disaster. Anything else is obnoxious.
Once upon a time… This was a brand worth a splurge.. In this day with the general populous KNOWING sugar is poison, no matter how much you enjoy the drug, if you’re going to cross over to the dark side for a treat, it better be worth it. This location not only did not do justice to the this brand, but they do not offer a free doughnut- the custom for any customer lined up to purchase more. They claim it’s “when the red light is on“ but in my three day staying two blocks from this location, not once did the red light go on.
Let’s talk customer service. I walked in 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The place is empty. Not a single patron in any of the seats.
There was a woman and her partner having an animated conversation with the cashier. There were two other parties, a mom and a daughter, each, waiting to order. Then me, and a gentleman walked in behind me.
All four parties were kept waiting while FOUR employees visible rushed around - might’ve been for Uber Eats or some other delivery service. But the human beings in front of them were ignored. No one greeted us, no one even bothered to look up at us.
Meanwhile, the woman at the register continued to argue with the cashier.
It would take one of the four employees ignoring us 12 minutes to finally take the order of the first woman.
I didn’t place my order until 25 minutes after walking into an empty store. That’s disgusting, disrespectful, and the gentleman behind me after 15 minutes waiting walked out.
I ordered my half a dozen, knowing I was paying over 250 each for a 3 inch circumference fluffy piece of dough with a teeny bit of glaze on it. Hardly worth it, but I’ve already been waiting that long and figured I might as well finish.
At last, the woman arguing with the cashier left, seems like she was there for half an hour, arguing her case and I finally made it up to pay. The heavyset female worker at the cash register looked like she was still still learning the ropes. I handed her 20 in my donuts cost something like 1299 for the six.
After keeping us waiting for more than half an hour, and not handing us a donut to make up for the time we were ignored, this cashier had the audacity to say to me: “ I’m short a dollar, is that OK?“
Never in my life have I been to a restaurant upscale or fast food like this one where because they’re short a dollar in their register they ask the customer if they’re OK not getting change. I didn’t even answer her. I stared at her. She repeated, and I basically said back to her loud enough that the other customer behind me could hear:
You keep us waiting for half an hour to order half a dozen donuts while there’s four of you behind the counter ignoring us, you’re charging over $2.50 for a piece of dough with some sugar, you’re not giving away any freebies, even when asked, and you want to know if you can keep my $ because you don’t have the professionalism to go get proper change from another location in the store?
She looks at me, doesn’t say anything, and shuffles away slowly to find a dollar.
Seriously, whomever the manager of this location is: ignoring flesh and blood human being so that you can feel Uber eats orders first is disgusting. Not offering anything if you keep us waiting for more than 10 minutes when there’s four employees working -
Unforgivable. Hiring and training ignorant folk like this who would rather keep our money than give us proper change because they can’t be bothered – immoral and I’m pretty sure illegal.
To everyone else reading this review if you’ve gotten this far: do yourself a favor: add up the calories you would spend here, then go get yourself a real treat. Something worth the splurge, the calories, and most of all, your $24$. Empty dough and air is not it.
Thank you.
