- OOooof3 days ago1.0Uncomfortable and Unprofessional Treatment at Safeway I didn’t catch her name, but she was an older woman with short blonde hair and glasses. I went through self-checkout and already had an employee hovering over me, which felt incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. After checking out, I realized I forgot utensils and asked the self-checkout cashier if they had any extras. She directed me to the deli, where I picked some up. While walking back out with my groceries, another employee asked how I was doing. I said “good” and thought that was the end of the interaction, but then she asked where I was coming from. I told her I was getting chopsticks, and she immediately asked if I had paid for my groceries. My groceries were already bagged, and my receipt was visibly sticking out of the bag because it was the last thing I put in. She didn’t ask any other customers around me the same question, and honestly, the interaction felt racially motivated. I was singled out, and it completely ruined the shopping experience for me.

The person working the counter refused to get her the money we sent. She has had issues with this girl refusing to give her the money when she's there for several years. This time they told her they had too much money in the register and she can't get her money till Monday. She doesn't have a car. so going somewhere else isn't an option. A complaint has been filed through western union which is investigating . Shame on you all
