Went here for a celebratory dinner with my friend. Kelsey, our waitress, was friendly, sweet, fun, and attentive. She was great! Beautiful atmosphere. However, we both found the food a bit disappointing. We ended up getting the short rib pasta and the carbonara- the short rib pasta was pretty good and better than the carbonara, which had good flavor, but very bland overall. The best part of our experience (besides Kelsey) was the vodka sauce on the meatballs and the free vanilla gelato. It was still fun because we were celebrating.
We both had been here before, but many years ago and were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we left disappointed in the quality of the food. We should have got what sounded good to us- the chef's special- short rib ravioli with fontina... Here's my lesson learned- get the special, even if it's more in price- it probably will be worth it. A bit priceier than some places maybe, but for the right entree, it would absolutely be worth it, and from my prior visit and her's, it definitely was! Our appetizer, bread, and 2 pasta entrees was $91 before tip.
Maybe we will go back and give it another shot by trying the special!
