  I would avoid this place. We had a very strange experience with the service which I won’t go into because it’s a long story. Way overpriced for the very mediocre food. Dry and flavorless. It’s right on the beach, which is a pretty view, but didn’t make up for the terrible food that was way too expensive for what you get. Larapin Grill is the better option by far. Also, on a sidenote, why do you leave weeds all over the front entry to a nice restaurant?? No pride in ownership in my opinion. We will never be back.

  Poorly prepared food. Seemed re-heated. Meat was cold. Fish and chips was 3 small fish stick size pieces. Pad thia was gross. Very small serving size with high price. Would not go again.

  Honestly— I wish I read more reviews before we made our reservation. View was great, but the food was subpar at BEST. I got the chicken fettuccine, it was good but not great given the price. As for my husband’s tri-tip, it was honestly probably the worst we’ve had, it was giving rehydrated beef jerky (unfortunately but honestly.) Our service was also just okay. Maybe we came in on a bad night but in our opinion this place was NOT worth the price. I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt, although it seems many others have had similar experiences. More or less this will definitely not be somewhere we will seek out again out next visit to the coast. :(

  I went there as a guest of family who previously had been there and raved about it. However, they and I were disappointed. 1) we had to wait for our bar drinks for some time and the order was incorrect. 2) the wait staff were overworked and understaffed. 3) the small plates were disappointing: 3 small scallops for $$, the poke plate was mediocre with too much watermelon and not as much tuna, and the cioppino for $55 was lots of miniscule clams, no fish, no mussels, 2 shrimp, no crab but good sauce. Overall, we were not very pleased and will not be going back.

  After a 30 min. wait our appetizers were dropped off to the table next to us. Little confused but that didnt last long, a waitress on her way to our table with... the other tables food. Pointed out the confusion only to watch the waitress try to exchange the plates after the other table already touching the food. Brought the situation up to the waitress and told her we didnt want to stay and that we would pay for the drinks. This "manager" lady then stomped her way out behind us demanding pay, all while it was on the table, under the unfinished drink. Nice work moonstone, never again. Oh yeah, it was our 20th anniversary too!
