I have never left a restaurant review. If I could give zero stars I would. We called days in advance to make a reservation and reserve a window table. We were celebrating our 34 wedding anniversary. We were given the only table in the restaurant without a view back in the corner. It was 30 minutes before we received the drinks we ordered the bar while waiting for the table. We asked our waiter to move to the available window table and we were denied. After that we felt ignored. We had to ask to have our water filled, ask another table for a wine list, and request that the server come take our order. We were getting up to leave the restaurant out of frustration when they offered us one of the several open window tables. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. It was apparent that the Caesar salad had sat and the lettuce was warm and wilted. The scallops, oysters, and clams were mediocre at best. We spent $260. I’m a long time local resident and I was very much looking forward to finally eating at this establishment. We have both worked in the fine dining food industry for many years and this was the most disappointing experience we have ever encountered.

Like everyone says, the view is amazing. That's all they have going for them. We went there for our wedding anniversary. The pictures online looked amazing. We had such high hopes. It took 20 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. He seemed to be the only one working tables, poor guy. We tried to order the steamed clams...they were out, oysters...they were out. We ended up ordering the poke which came in a wonton bowl that was soggy and underwhelming. My husband ordered the filet and lobster. They were out of filet and subbed a NY strip, but didn't discount the price. It took an hour to get our food. Cioppino was good but missing clams. The steak and lobster were very overcooked and under seasoned. The waiter did notice the steak was overcooked and brought a new one out, which was appreciated. He was great. The kitchen and whoever does their ordering, not so much.

I want to start by saying our server was great throughout this entire experience, he was the only truly redeeming part of this experience. We visited Moonstone Grill to celebrate our first night of our honeymoon. We walked in and were sat immediately, but we were sat in the corner window where at least 12 flies and other insects were flying around us and in the windows. We requested to be moved and our server re-seated us right away, however our new table turned out to be home to just as many insects. We ordered the ahi tuna and coconut prawns to start, and neither had much flavor at all, I was really looking forward to the tuna and was very disappointed to find that it was incredibly bland. For entrees we ordered the Steak & Lobster and the Smoked Tri Tip. After waiting nearly an hour for entrees, the lobster was cold through to the center and the filet paired with it was cooked to correct rare temp but was impossible to cut because of the tendons and gristle. The tri tip was grey in color and dry, the chef had smothered the meat in butter to make it appear less dry. We notified our server and he took our plates, but we were not approached by the manager despite seeing him walking around the restaurant. We paid 180 dollars and left hungry, we will not be returning.

Towing cars from moonstone beach. Lot wasn’t even half full, and they were towing cars of people going to moonstone beach. As someone who goes to Moonstone beach occasionally with my kids, I find this rude and unfriendly, not the vibe of the local area at all. I’d understand if it was taking spots from customers but it’s not at all, the lot is way larger than the amount of people that would go to the restaurant. I don’t think I will be trying the grill (after it reopened from it’s closure due to rats) for this reason.

The presentation of the food was great. The food itself was fine, certainly overpriced. The service was tolerable, although when the creme brulee came to us scorched after a 20 minute wait, we got hit with a, "would you like one less caramelized?" rather than an apology. No, just not burned thanks. The view is nice but blocked by bar seats so indoor seating doesn't feel glamorous at all. Just lookin at people's hunched over backsides.
