The food at Pista House is genuinely great and usually worth the wait, but the customer service and order handling are extremely frustrating. I called ahead to place an order for goat curry and onion samosas, and was told it would take 15–30 minutes. Knowing their typical wait times, I arrived an hour later to ensure it would be ready. When I got to the counter, the staff had no record of my order in their system and informed me they didn’t even have goat meat available. If an item is out of stock, customers should be told over the phone instead of having their time completely wasted. Driving out and leaving empty-handed due to basic mismanagement is unacceptable.

This guy at the register outright denied taking an order for pick up which we confirmed thrice over phone. Later on after finding oht the order said we can make fried rice for you😂😂😂. Cmon Pista House- its a shame it came from this branch🙏🏼. Really pathetic services. You guys dont care if people travel far to eat at your place. You know you have a monopoly in the market. Enjoy while it lasts. Dont use their number on the site to place an order. It never works. The fact that everything goes wrong after a real person takes your order speaks volumes how they are maintaining their business. its not even AI- basic communication gaps and absolutely no policies for any such mishaps in services. You place a bulk order. they run out of food by the tkme you reach to have the food. All you get is sorry brother. Well theres a reason you guys aren’t able to manage more than 2 branches. Lmk if you need help in managing your customer relations, you guys need help. I will do it for free for you Update - it feels good when feedback reaches the right people and in this case it did! Thanks for caring about your customers and how they feel. The owner was very kind enough to reach out and hear us out.

Before getting into my experience, I think customers should know that this restaurant has a sign offering a dessert or discount for writing a review. I personally think that is important context to have when looking at the overall Google rating and number of reviews. While ordering, Amit, who was handling the cashier/waiter duties, told me and my friends that there were no goat-related items available. I clearly understood what he told us, and based on that information, we ordered something else. A little later, another customer asked about goat biryani, and Amit told them that it was available. Naturally, we were confused, so we went back and asked him about it. Instead of simply acknowledging that he had given us incorrect information, Amit started lecturing me about how I needed to “listen correctly.” This was the most frustrating part of the whole experience. He was the one who incorrectly conveyed the availability of the food to us, but instead of owning that mistake, he pinned it on me and made it seem like I was the one who hadn’t listened properly. My friend then intervened because of the way he was speaking to me. Rather than addressing her respectfully, Amit became rude toward her too and said that he would only talk to me and not to her. I found that completely unnecessary. She was part of our group and had every right to speak about what had happened. We also noticed other customers having issues with their orders while we were there, so ours did not appear to be the only order-related confusion happening. When we asked to speak with the manager, Amit told us that he was the manager. Then, later, a woman from the kitchen came out and introduced herself as the manager. After that, there seemed to be confusion and changing answers about who the actual manager was. I want to be clear: the fact that goat biryani was available was not the reason this became an issue. Miscommunication happens. Had Amit simply said, “Sorry, I gave you the wrong information,” the entire situation would have ended there. Instead, I was blamed and lectured about my listening for information that he had incorrectly communicated to me in the first place, and my friend was spoken to rudely when she tried to intervene. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. Taking responsibility for them and treating customers with basic respect is what matters. Unfortunately, that was missing from my experience here.

Very disappointing experience at Pista House in Torrance. The restaurant was extremely messy and did not feel clean at all. The floor was greasy, and even the front staff’s clothing looked very dirty. The service was poor and slow, even though there were not many customers. The soft drinks were not even cold, which added to the disappointment. As for the food, I would rate it 3/10 overall. The Apollo Fish was probably the best item we tried, around 7/10, although it was a little too tangy. The Haleem was also disappointing—the texture and dark brown appearance were not what I expected from a restaurant carrying the Pista House Hyderabad name. When you see the name Pista House Hyderabad, you naturally expect a certain standard of food, cleanliness, and service. Unfortunately, this location was nowhere close to those expectations. Overall, a very disappointing experience. This restaurant needs major improvements in cleanliness, staff presentation, service, food quality, and overall management before I would consider returning or recommending it.

Stopped by Pista House Torrance last night and absolutely loved it! We ordered the Apollo Fish and the Amaravathi Chicken Biryani, The Apollo Fish was delicious, while the biryani was perfectly spiced and incredibly satisfying. A special thanks to the staff for helping us with their recommendations—and she definitely didn’t disappoint. Friendly service, delicious food, and a great overall experience. Can’t wait to come back!
