  We’ve been here multiple times and honestly every time has been a great experience. The food is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. You can really feel that the management cares about the customers and about maintaining the quality of the restaurant. It’s one of those places that feels comfortable whether you go with family or friends. The kebabs were excellent, the rice was perfect, and everything tasted authentic and homemade. Definitely one of our favorite Persian spots in OC right now. Highly recommended.

  Had another extraordinary meal at Fanoos (I’m not local), 8 years after the first memorable meal. The Side Platter Dish with Kashke Badmehan, Cutlet, Olivieh Salad, Shirazi Salad, Garden Salad and Maust’ Khiar was fantastic. Best Kashke Badmehan I have ever had, with flavorful mint blending nicely balanced eggplant and kashke. The cutlet with beef and potato was very tender with just the right amount of seasoning. Generous pita came alongside our meal. DH had a wonderful lamb shank dish that made for very nice leftovers the next day. Dinner was topped off with hot Persian tea, served in tall, footed glasses. Another great experience at Fanoos, rich with warmth, comfort and hospitality.

  Delicious Persian food home cooked on the spot, small quaint establishment. Everything is made to order with fresh herbs and spices. Owner Amir Amini greets, cooks and services. Very professional yet friendly like family. Great place to visit if had not done so

  Love it, fantastic Persian food, much needed in this area where there isn't much. Sure you can get kabobs at many places, but very few have the stews as well. Great food overall and a must if you're craving Persian which is arguably the best cuisine there is

  Food was delicious! Do yourself a favor and try the lamb...so tender, not greasy & you'll still feel light afterward. Come for the salad dressing, stay for the baklava which is exquisite. Mambo (read: combo) #5 is a great choice. Can't wait to sample the whole menu.
