About

Mexican RestaurantCatererChicken RestaurantFast Food Restaurant
While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Torrance,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

This is my go-to El Pollo Loco. The quality of the food is always great, I kind of miss their Loco Tenders that they had for a limited time. The Pollo Bowl is a great value, just $5 and I think $5.99 for the combo, but there's too much rice and beans at the bottom for me. The service for in-store pickup and drive-thru is always great, the staff are nice and polite. They're very helpful in letting me use coupons and scan my app barcode. Parking can sometimes be a bit difficult to find when it's busy.

I like this place, but unfortunately the chicken is always dry and not juicy, it feels like it has been cooked all day.

I live close to this location, so I go there often. The service is ok usually but lately my past two trips for this month have let me down. The quality has fallen, I have gotten repeatedly only two tortillas for my meal corn ones that are always torn and falling apart before I can use them. I don't know what brand they are but the are always low quality. They have missed also to give me my full amount of chicken pieces according to my meal and the pieces given looked old and dry like leather. What are they doing sending me old chicken that does not have much meat and is dry as a mummy. When I deal with the people at the window it seems that they are in a hurry to have charged and gone. It is not like this always with the people but I believe it's just certain ones that do not like their job and lack customer service. Lastly make sure to check your food before you leave to make sure you get what you pay for.

About a week ago I tried the chicken tenders I was surprised they were very very good they're better than canes chicken tenders. They were juicier, cane's tenders seem to be a little drier. I wanted to try the spicy but I was afraid that it might be too hot and it would ruin the whole thing and I wouldn't have any dinner to eat so I opted for two original and one done spicy so I could find out whether or not I like the spicy. It had Mexican spices on it and I like spicy but not so hot that you can't taste what you're eating only the hotness so I tried it and it was so good and especially dunked in the ranch dressing that even helped I think to cool it down a little bit but it really wasn't that hot. But I will warn you it was hot the next morning if you get my meaning. And I had them substitute whatever it is that comes with the chicken tenders substitute that with a scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy they kind of screwed up on that I got a container of nothing but gravy. That's why I gave them a four star instead of a five. Otherwise everything would have been perfect. I'm going to have it again and try it again Friday night's dinner and hopefully I can get a scoop of mashed potatoes with some gravy on it to make it more of a complete dinner instead of chips or whatever comes with the tenders I'm not sure. I also tried the Pollo loco dip sauce to see what that tasted like and to see if it was too hot or not and it wasn't I used it on the regular chicken tenders. Through the years I have never liked El Pollo loco.I do now.
