  In and out for the grocery. No expectations, no disappointment.

  I witnessed something very disappointing at this store today. The Pokémon vending machine clearly has a two-pack purchase limit, yet an employee in store uniform purchased all of the Pokémon card packs from the machine while children were waiting in line behind her. If there is a two-pack limit, it should apply to everyone, including employees. It is especially disappointing to see an employee take advantage of the situation when children are waiting for an opportunity to purchase the cards. The store should have a clear policy preventing employees from buying out limited merchandise, particularly while they are working. Otherwise, what is the point of having a purchase limit? It was also frustrating to see signage stating that loitering isn't permitted when an employee was occupying the machine and purchasing the available inventory while customers were waiting. I hope management addresses this and implements a policy ensuring that limited products are available fairly to all customers, not just employees. Shame on the employee for doing this and shame on the store for allowing it.

  I always find it difficult to buy products at this store just because the label is printed so small and place underneath the product shelf. For example, my last visit I picked up one package of cream cheese I read $.99 when I went to pay became $1.99 so I went and put that one back, picked up another pack of two which the label had $2.49 $and at the register it became $4.99. When I ask the attendee, she indicated that I had to buy four in order to get that price which was not legible on the label and she added that’s a corporate policy!!!! which is fine if they write it clearly on the label so that customers can read. since I was upset, I left everything that I had picked to buy roughly about $50 worth and I went to Trader Joe’s and bought everything there again.

  I’m an 87 year-old mostly deaf and disabled woman. The employees at my local Von’s are very kind and considerate. For example, yesterday an employee at sel-checkout noticed I was looking for a place to sit while waiting for niece to pay for groceries. She brought me her stool. So nice.
