  New York strip stake is absolutely wonderful. Great place, however it has lost a bit of its luster...not as busy as it once was. Valet parking. Helpful servers. All in all, great experience.

  We were invited out for a birthday dinner, and honestly, I’ve been to Mastro’s many times over the years—never because it was my first choice, but simply going along with the crowd. In the past, the food never quite hit the mark for me. Well, what a turnaround! This visit was truly exceptional. The food was fantastic, the service was absolutely impeccable, and the cocktails were spot on. Best of all, we were with dear friends we love, making it a genuinely perfect evening.

  Mastro’s Steakhouse never disappoints! The food, service, and atmosphere are always amazing, but honestly, the butter cake is the real star of the show. I’m not exaggerating when I say I love that butter cake more than anything on Earth 😂. It’s warm, rich, buttery, and absolutely incredible. I could go to Mastro’s just for the butter cake and be completely satisfied. If you haven’t tried it, you’re seriously missing out!

  The worst part was the cockroach running across the bar towards the end of our meal ….. and the bartender just smashing it and acting like nothing happened and making drinks and touching things without washing hands.. The staff acting irritated that it was busy

  We recently dined at Mastro's Steakhouse on Thousand Oaks Boulevard for a milestone celebration, and the entire evening was nothing short of spectacular. The second you step past the entrance, you are enveloped in a sophisticated, high-end atmosphere that feels both exclusive and incredibly lively. The elegant lighting, stunning decor, and top-tier acoustics set the perfect stage for a truly special night out. The meal itself was a culinary tour de force. We started with their iconic, dramatic iced seafood tower, which arrived at the table looking like a work of art. For the main course, the steaks stole the show. The center-cut filet mignon and the prime bone-in ribeye were cooked to a flawless medium-rare, cutting like butter and melting on the palate with deep, seasoned complexity. Accompanying the steaks with their rich creamed spinach and indulgent truffle fries elevated the entire meal to a whole new level of luxury. What truly cements Mastro’s as a legendary institution, however, is their unmatched commitment to customer service. The level of professionalism, warmth, and grace exhibited by the entire team is exceedingly rare these days. Our server was warm, engaging, and anticipated our every need without ever feeling intrusive. Management stopped by our table to ensure every detail was perfect, and the pacing of the meal allowed us to truly unwind and enjoy the night. Mastro’s remains the crown jewel of dining in Thousand Oaks, and we cannot wait for our next visit!
