Great Indian Kitchen is the kind of family-owned place you hope to stumble into hungry: clean, welcoming, unpretentious, and clearly run by people who care about what comes out of the kitchen.
We stopped in for lunch and ordered the lamb tandoori and chicken masala, along with a sweet lassi and mango lassi. The lamb arrived beautifully seasoned, tender, and carrying that unmistakable char and smoke that makes tandoori worth ordering. The chicken masala was rich, deeply flavorful, and exactly the sort of sauce that makes you reconsider leaving anything behind on the plate. Both lassis were cold, creamy, and a perfect counterpoint to the spices.
The atmosphere was warm, the restaurant was exceptionally clean, and the pricesâespecially for the quality and portionsâwere fantastic.
There are plenty of restaurants that try to impress you with presentation and theatrics. Great Indian Kitchen doesnât need to. Good ingredients, bold flavors, fair prices, and a family that clearly takes pride in feeding people well.
Five stars. Come hungry.
From the moment we walked in the place had such a great vibe and you could smell the delicious aromas from the kitchen. We were seated really quickly and all the staff was attentive, kind and hard working. We had several great conversations with those who served us and thatâs how we learned theyâre a family business. They shared with us some of their story of being in the food industry and how everything they make is from scratch. Their grandmother was literally in the kitchen! We got to experience a piece of their home cooked meals and they took such joy and pride in being able to share that with their customers. Additionally, the whole restaurant, from the music to the interior design to the food, was very intentionally chosen and put together which further elevated the quality of my familyâs experience. Will definitely be returning and will be recommending to others.
đ¶ïž Best experience. We live in the neighbourhood. So happy this place is so delicious. Holy Tikka Masala, This Place was wonderful.â and my tastebuds are still doing a happy dance. đâš
If you want a culinary adventure that packs a serious punch, you need to get here immediately. And we got to meet the servers grandma who actually cooked our meal. Here is the breakdown of the absolute stars of the show:
đ The Tandoori Chicken
Letâs talk about the Tandoori Chicken first. Usually, chicken breast at a restaurant risks being drier than a desert, but this? Absolute perfection. It arrived gorgeous, perfectly charred from the clay oven, and so incredibly juicy. It was heavily spiced (in the best way possible) and practically melting off the bone.
đ The Tikka Masala (The Showstopper!)
Then came the main event: the Tikka Masala. Wow. Just... wow. This wasnât just a curry; it was a velvety, rich, savory masterpiece. It has that perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and deeply aromatic spices that makes you want to abandon all polite society manners and just lick the bowl clean. (I didnât, but the temptation was real). Pair it with some fresh, pillowy naan, and you are officially in food paradise.
The Verdict?
10/10. The flavors are bold, the energy is exciting, and the food is cooked with absolute love. Your stomach will thank you! đđ„

Great Indian Kitchen is my new favorite spot for Indian food. I live in the area and was excited to finally try it since its recent opening. The food is excellent (we got 2 apps, 5 main dishes and 2 lassis). My mom could not stop raving about how good the saag paneer - best sheâs ever had apparently. The food comes out a little slowly because every dish is made from scratch and made to order. I promise itâs worth the wait. The serving portions are huge compared to other Indian restaurants in the area and for a similar price. The wait staff is incredibly kind and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about their food - grandma is the head cook and came out to say hello at the end of our meal. They also packaged our leftover food for us.
My only concern is that this restaurant is understaffed (which they voiced) so it took a while to get out to go boxes and check. Staff was incredibly apologetic and thanked us for our patience - itâs entirely a family business. I hope they can get some help.
10/10 would recommend and would go again!

I wandered into this place hangry as hell... grumpy too. Nonetheless, pale faced and cranky, the staff was so kind and rushed to welcome me in. It's their third day open, so I wasn't too sure about staying and took a look through the menu and asked several questions. I was patiently replied to with great detail and with a smile from everyone who answered my questions. Deciding to stay I ended up getting what I thought would be a small salad but it was ENORMOUS and PHENOMENAL! The pricing is really great considering what they're offering, And the food is clean and so delicious! They used either coconut oil or olive oil or canola oil, depending on what they're making but they will make your food without oil when requested if that's possible. Incredible customer service, Extraordinarily delicious food, And overall a great vibe. Come support this place! Family owned! The grandmother was in the kitchen cooking along with her daughter who was helping with serving my food and the grandchildren and great grandchildren were even here to help! I love it here already đ€©
