I got severe food poisoning from this establishment on Friday, May 8th. I had the “Farmboy” something or other, which is egg and bacon on a bagel. That’s only the second time in my life that I’ve gotten severe food poisoning (the other being 20 years ago) and I realize that the probability of getting it is generally low, but nonetheless, I felt compelled to share my experience as I don’t want anyone else getting as sick as I have.

I’ve ordered ahead here twice and my food has not been ready both times.
This time (the second time) I purposely went 30 minutes late and ordered outside of the breakfast rush time. I figured for sure it would be ready.
Several issues happened once I got there.
1. No one addressed me when I went to the to go area to pick up my food. I waited a couple of minutes and went to the cashiers station.
2. I wait a little while there no one addresses me. One cashier was counting money and the other was helping other customers so fair enough. I waited a bit and then said to the cook in the back “Do you have any to go orders for (my first name)”?
The cashier who was counting money said something like “You can see that I’m busy right now.”
I told her “I’m not talking to you I’m talking to him.”
But her saying that was ridiculous no matter what and she did not even apologize for being rude or wrong.
3. The cook said they did not have my order (mind you it was 30 minutes after it was supposed to be done). He does go to cook it right away.
4. I finally get my order, roughly 37 minutes from the time it was supposed to be ready.
5. I ask the cook who the manager is, he points her out. I go to speak to her and I ask why my order was late. Now mind you she had been standing there the entire time and knew I was having issues. She should have addressed me and asked if she could do anything.
6. I speak to her explain my food was scheduled for pickup at 11:30 she says well we don’t get the orders until about 15 minutes past when they are due. I said ok well I came over 30 minutes past when it was due, so again what happened? She says they were busy had a lot of orders. Etc, etc.
7. At no point did she. A. Apologize, B. Be friendly C. Be kind D. Be efficient.
She barely made eye contact with me.
8. She did offer me a refund. But it shouldn’t have taken all that to get one. She should have been much more proactive.
9. She did manage to apologize to the customer behind me.
“I’m sorry for your wait.”
Because I’m nice I’m not going to put her name in a public review, but this needs to be addressed to go orders should be ready and easy to pick up.

Avocado was no where near ripe or even edible. Asked for extra toasted bagel but got barely toasted.

Unapologetically slow service. Ordered online for takeout. After waiting 45 minutes, gave up and got a refund.

I’ve been a Western Bagel girlie my whole life, but with the massive shrinkflation going on over there, I gave this place a try. And wow these bagels are SO GOOD!!! Great size and texture, and so flavorful. Give the hot honey cream cheese a try. This will for sure be my new spot moving forward. And they have dog bagels :)
