I ordered the vegetarian omelette and specifically told the server NO MEAT because of my religious beliefs. Two bites into my meal, I discovered there was ham in it. When I brought this to their attention and explained it was a religious issue, the manager came over with no apology and simply said, “We try to clean the grill, but we cook everything on the same surface.” They did remove the omelette from the bill, but that response was unacceptable. If you advertise a vegetarian and vegan menu, customers should be able to trust that their food is prepared correctly. Telling someone after they’ve already eaten meat that everything is cooked together is not an acceptable way to handle dietary or religious restrictions. This is a tourist destination where people from many different backgrounds visit. Please do better by taking dietary and religious requests seriously and communicating your cooking practices before serving the food.
Delicious cafe tucked away within the shopping center. I had the salmon avocado benedict, and my friend got the sourdough bread clam chowder. Both were absolutely delicious and filling. The cafe itself is very small and quite busy, but for good reason. The experience was well worth the hour wait, especially because there are things to see in the meantime. I would absolutely return here.
Ordered pick up and it was extremely late and none of the staff tried to help me or check up on the order. Staff wasn’t friendly at all and bluntly told me that I couldn’t sit and where to wait, and I witnessed a barista being extremely rude to a group of people just trying to ask how to order to-go.
I did a quick day trip to South Lake Tahoe, and figured this was the best place to have breakfast. There was a 15 minute wait despite having gone early on a Tuesday, so prepare yourself for a longer wait for busier days and times of year. I asked for a slight modification for my breakfast, which was accommodated. The service was great, attentive, professional and courteous. The breakfast itself was delicious, I enjoyed it. I would return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I’d actually give a 4.5 star review only because I couldn’t get on the waitlist via phone or laptop tho I was able to call and they took care of it. My breakfast was 2 eggs, bacon and hashbrowns with sourdough bread and it was fantastic. Another huge plus is that they had flavors to add to your coffee. He mentioned Vanilla, Hazelnut and Caramel. He had me a Hazelnut. Service was a 10 as servers stopped by multiple times to refill coffee, Water and just check on you. Definitely will go back while we are here.
