  Vons is a really solid, dependable grocery store that consistently delivers where it matters most. The food selection is a standout—fresh produce, a strong bakery and deli, and a wide variety of everyday essentials that make it easy to get everything you need in one stop. Service is generally good. Staff are helpful and efficient, and while interactions aren’t always overly personal, things run smoothly and checkout is usually quick, which I appreciate. The atmosphere is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. It’s not trying to be a high-end or boutique grocery store, but it does a great job of being reliable and functional without feeling run down. Overall, Vons is a go-to spot for quality groceries and convenience. It may not be flashy, but it consistently gets the job done—and does it well. Additionally, I frequently shop here on my way to work, and at 6:45am, it’s usually not busy. I’d prefer there were a self checkout (this matters in the afternoon when it’s busier), but it doesn’t matter much at that hour. Plus, it gets me out of my phone and engaging with humans, which is important.

  I am reposting this to make sure that it gets read. My husband and I have been patrons of your particular establishment for decades. You have not always been the most economical choice, but we have stayed loyal to shopping at your store. My husband was running a very high fever. I needed to get him some Tylenol and some juices to help him feel better. I arrived at your store at 10:35pm this evening after looking at your website and seeing that you are open until 11:pm. I was only greeted with a locked door and another patron who was trying to get in at the same time. We Walk to the other entrance that we knew closes at a certain time of night, but we were looking for an answer. We Notice a woman inside that was restocking the deli department we made motions that it wasn’t time to be closed, she yelled thru the locked door that the posted closing time was not under her control and that we needed to go shop somewhere else. Not The response I or the other patron was looking for. I found what I could make do with at a local 7/11 and returned home by 10:50pm. I checked the website to make sure I didn’t make a mistake. It now read “closed” instead of “closing soon” as before” to my surprise. We have stayed loyal to your establishment, to your specific store for absolute decades through turmoil, earthquakes, remodeling , Shortages, Covid, and all kinds of nonsense that we Understood were not if you’re doing. We forgave the rules that you all were under to comply with and continued to Make you our first choice for our shopping needs. I can see that our shopping needs are not your first concerns. We will be thinking twice about our first choice in the future.
