I first asked what the charge would be, and the manager said they would need to charge me for two full side orders instead of treating it as a simple substitution. At other El Pollo Loco locations, they’ve usually been more flexible with small changes like this, especially when I’m just swapping ingredients rather than adding more food. Unfortunately, they weren’t willing to work with me on it, so I decided not to order. A little flexibility with simple substitutions would go a long way for customer experience.
