  If you’re anywhere near Placerville and haven’t been to CT European Cafe, you’re seriously missing out. This place is hands-down one of the most underrated restaurants in the entire area. Their biscuits and gravy are easily the best around, rich, flavorful, and exactly what you want in a comfort meal. But what really sets them apart is their unique mix of European and American dishes. Everything feels homemade and it is! Thoughtful, and different from the typical options you find nearby. If you’re not sure what to order, go with the goulash. It’s incredible, hearty, authentic, and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is just as good as the food. It’s a family-owned spot with a genuine local, hardworking vibe that you can feel the moment you walk in. The coffee is always fresh, and the three women who run the place are absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and they truly care about their customers. Places like this are rare. Do yourself a favor and check it out, you’ll be glad you did.

  The vibes in this establishment are immaculate. Great mimosa and coffee, great service, great food. Alma was amazing and attentive to what we needed and I was so grateful!!!

  This is my go-to brunch spot. Cozy, family run, and very tasty. Lots of good options on the menu but I keep coming back to the Rosemary Chicken Crepe.
