- SMSteve MJun 11, 20262.0After years of waiting for Pavilions (or Vons or Albertsons whoever owns it) to replace the previous nasty Pavilions hopes were high when the new store opened. For a while it had full seafood, a very decent bakery and a service deli that was supposed to have hot food and a salad bar. Yes, the prices were (and are high) but you get what you pay for. Over the months and years they have continually cut back on things that an upscale market would provide. The Service Deli is the biggest joke. They've cut back on most of the ready to heat items. They removed the salad and hot bar during Covid which I can understand, but they never put it back. If you can find someone to help you in the service deli (good luck) they only have the premade stuff you'd find in any Vons. The pharmacy appears to be a part time operation and isn't open on Sundays. IMO it's just a glorified liquor store because that is the only department they seem to care about. There are two Whole Foods within a mile that offer better offerings. One of the Whole Foods is around 18sq/ft...and they have a far superior deli.
