  I showed up to the Santee Vons location around 11:30/12:00 and almost every isle was being stocked. It obvious the store didn’t sell out of items that morning so it seems like a poor management choice to have the store be almost un-shoppable in the middle of the day. Many isles had the stacks of food just sitting in the isle, blocking items behind them while the selves were mostly empty. A lot of carts had no one actively stocking and many were refrigerated items. Along with that, The store allowed several people in with non-service dogs to walk around the store. A man was walking around with a little dog that pooped beside the check out lines and he didn’t have a bag to pick it up. The man stood there for several minutes waiting for someone to help him. The cashier knew about the issue. The man then started kicking the poop along the floor to get it out of the way. Finally someone from the check out line handed him a Starbucks napkin. The man picked up the poop, put in his cart and went back to shopping, with the pop in the cart! No one came to mop or clean the floor after the pop kicking. He shouldn’t have been allowed to bring in the dog but once he did, the store should have made sure the customers didn’t have to stand around smelling poop at the check out line. After that, while checking out the cashier Jess was taking bites of burrito, while she was actively ringing up my stuff and she was incredibly rude to the bagger in front of me and my 6 year. I believe he may be working on his social skills and he was friendly, making light conversation but not necessarily moving quickly. He had starting to bag and chat with us and Jess cut him off and said something along the lines “ Will You hurry up. You’ve been here over 3 minutes and not done any thing”. He had been there maybe a minute and just started to help after finishing another lines bagging. She also added “ See, I don’t have anymore room on my belt”. At no point did she assist in getting things bagged. She even moved on and rang up the next person while the groceries were still getting bagged up and I had to move to let the next person leave. Over all it was awkward and unprofessional. It’s clear the way this place is managed is impacting the customer experience. I don’t recommend this Vons unless you really can’t find what you need at one of the other stores in the area.

  It’s a grocery store and they have a lot of groceries inside, so they’ve got that going for them. The store is well organized and stocked and it’s rare I don’t find everything I’m looking for at this location. At the end of the shopping list it all comes down to the people and the ones working here are wonderful.

  Vons always has great selection quality produce. I am making this post basically to say that they have the best air conditioning of any store. If it is a hot midday summer afternoon you need to go to Vons. I've noticed this for years at multiple locations, Vons is always cold.
