It's a typical Mall with some empty stores. It butts up to the older downtown area so it's convenient to see it all. It's also across from the transit Station so transportation is easy.
The "Mall Market" across the way was asking for a tip for doing... nothing, so I walked over to It's A Grind to grab a drink. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They had my order started before I was finished paying. They also have a HUGE cup size if you really need some caffeine. Its A Grind has a great location right next to the entrance of the mall, so it is convenient to run in and grab a drink even if you do not intend to shop the mall. The prices are fair and they have some really cool, creative drinks you will probably not even find at a "boujee" coffee shop. 10/10 will be back!

Not the best service, so I went to Surf City instead.
There drinks are amazing and they make them look very presentable. The young barista guy does a very great job in customer service and gives good advice in what drinks to get if you looking for recommendations. Good customer service and good quality drinks. They are fast and accurate

A True Southern California Gem with Serious History. Love finding places with real soul, and It’s A Grind is exactly that. Founded in Long Beach back in 1994/1995 as a single neighborhood spot focused on fresh roasted coffee, friendly service, and a cozy, home made vibe. Its also in the opening credits of the show Weeds and was Nancy Botwin’sb favorite iced coffee. The new owner is amazing and cherished the history. Has multiple locations, solid house-roasted beans, great lattes, smoothies, breakfast burritos, avocado toast, and pastries. You can tell they care about the community roots. If you’re in the area, stop by. This isn’t just another coffee shop, it’s California history in every cup.
