  So I was the only one in the drive-through line. I ordered a burrito with guacamole and sauce on the side I was charged for the salsa and did not receive it and they put sauce in the burrito which I ordered it without because my young autistic son won’t eat it with it inside So I drove all the way home about a 20 minute drive open the bag of the burrito And The tortilla was split all the way down the burrito and the burrito flopped downwards with everything spilling out the entire time if I wanted it like this I would have ordered a bowl. It was soggy and nasty and a mess. Waste of time and money I spent 16 dollars for a chicken burrito and drink not a combo and It didnt get bit like that it came split with the tortilla not covering the burrito they saw it broken and decided to give I to me like that’s anyways pissed me off

  I am generally a pretty patient person. Today at El Pollo Loco that was certainly tested. Before I rant- Saori was awesome! She is the reason it’s not one star because I do love the food here. Saori completely fixed the situation. Rant time: I was making a special request of no lettuce, no tomato so it was a little bit out of the ordinary. The guy at the front pretended to understand what I meant. After getting one of my orders correct and the other order incorrect, I tried to explain to him that one was incorrect. This started a five minute long back-and-forth of me, trying to get him not to take the food that was correct and just remake the one. He was simply not going to understand what I meant. Not that he can’t speak English, but being able to understand your customers is important and I do not think he should be working front counter.

  El Pollo Loco: proof that a restaurant can nail the one thing in its name and still fumble everything standing next to it. The chicken? Legit good — juicy, smoky, the whole reason “Pollo” gets top billing. But then you look down at your sides and it’s like the chicken invited its sad cousins to the party. The sides could definitely use some TLC.

  The food is amazing! I love that the chicken is grilled, which is an option our tummies appreciate instead of the typical breaded and fried version. Depending on the options you choose, your meal can be quite healthy. And don’t even get me started on the horchata—it’s absolutely delicious, in my opinion! By the way, they grill the chicken right in front of you. It’s an open kitchen and surprisingly neat and organized considering how much food they prepare. Highly recommended! The warmth and kindness with which they welcome you is truly appreciated. ❤️
