  From the outside, the Montana Avenue Pavilions could be the perfect backdrop for a 1990s flick—but step inside, and you’ll find a well-thought-out, customer-service-driven operation. Unlike other modern grocery stores, they don't plaster preachy slogans on the walls to tell you how much they care; instead, they prove it through daily value, member savings, and exceptional service. Many of the team members have worked here for over 10 years, and it shows. The staff operates in total sync from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. On numerous occasions, I have witnessed wonderful random acts of kindness from these associates—whether it’s helping someone carry bags to their car, showing incredible patience with elderly shoppers, or simply listening and staying calm with a challenging customer. If there is any room for improvement, it's structural. This is prime real estate close to the coast, and the neighborhood is evolving beautifully—the school across the way is finishing up a stunning remodel, and new residential construction a block up is raising the bar for the street. Pavilions should match that energy. This stellar team and their loyal customers deserve a break from the harsh, artificial fluorescent lighting, which takes a toll on overall health and mood over a long shift or shopping trip. Bringing California's natural light into the space is key to a better experience. Adding large windows facing Montana Avenue would open up views of the beautiful trees across the street. Furthermore, replacing the current Starbucks setup with a 50/50 co-investment buildout alongside one of their top-selling retail coffee brands could create a gorgeous neighborhood café with outdoor seating. Montana Avenue is a walking community, and adapting the store to embrace the fresh air and natural light would be a massive win for everyone. Great value, amazing team-spirited service, and a wonderful community hub. Thank you, Team Pavilions!

  During our stay in Santa Monica, we found ourselves stopping by Pavilion’s several times to grab groceries, snacks, and a few essentials. The store was always clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate, and the staff was friendly each time we visited. One thing that stood out to us person traveling from Texans was the difference in alcohol laws. Back in Texas, you can’t buy hard liquor at grocery stores or on Sundays, so it was definitely interesting to see spirits available right in the grocery store. It’s always fun noticing the little differences when traveling! Overall, Pavilion’s was a convenient and reliable place to shop during our vacation, and we’d happily stop by again on our next visit.

  Better parking access compared to to the Le local markets, quick in and out not huge that you have to walk much to gtmrab a few things that you need.
