  Cute restaurant but that’s about it. Server took 10 minutes to greet us and give us water. Was never apologetic and lackadaisical the entire service. If you do go, I recommend the beef roti. That is the only reason for the extra star.

  Cobi's is seriously delicious. Everything we ordered was packed with bold, layered flavor and felt really well thought through. The menu leans rich, my stomach definitely noticed, so it’s not an everyday kind of meal, but perfect when you want something indulgent and memorable. The space is beautifully designed, warm, eclectic, and elevated without feeling overdone, which really adds to the experience. The drinks are thoughtful and well balanced, and the waitstaff is attentive, knowledgeable, and easy to engage with. It’s on the pricier side, but it feels justified for the quality, creativity, and overall experience. I went with a friend who’s a big foodie and she absolutely loved it. We split 5–6 dishes, which I’d recommend so you can try more of the menu. Everything was rich but incredibly flavorful, and nothing felt like a miss. I’d suggest making a reservation, as it can get busy. Overall, a great spot for a fun night out or a special dinner, just go in ready for a more indulgent meal.

  I had a great experience at Cobi’s in Santa Monica overall. The food was excellent. We ordered the pork dumplings, curry puffs, and the beef short ribs (as recommended by our waitress), and everything was flavorful and well-executed. The short ribs in particular were a standout. That said, we did run into a small issue before being seated. It was a busy Monday evening with a lot of reservations, so we were placed on the waitlist. However, there seemed to be some confusion at the front. We noticed an open table as soon as we arrived, but it took quite a while before we were seated, and the hostess didn’t appear to be aware that the table was available. Aside from the initial wait, the experience and food definitely made up for it. Reservation recommended.
