Im homeless and was having a particularly bad day the first time I went in here. I could see people (mostly customers) judging me, quietly, but with such indignation that their thoughts felt louder than yelling. (I'll admit I would have been judging me too on that day). I went through the line and Valeria was my cashier. I had an ice cream and a soda and she looked at me and said, "You know the other brand of ice cream is 2 for 1 today?" It was a small tip, but she seemed to go out of her way to relate to me on a personal level, and after that, all the customers picked up on the vibe and started asking me what I needed help with. There's a big difference between somebody asking you if you need help vs. them asking what you need help with. 1 comes across like an obligation, the other genuine. Anyways, I wanted to let it be known because a few of the people working here, including Valeria, Theresa, and Calvin are consistently there to help people, not to sell groceries.

Bought chicken wings at the deli and the lady behind the counter showed me an attitude after I told her that I wanted the spicy wings when he put the spicy chicken tenders in the bag instead and accused me of being "complicated"

Came at 8pm and there was only one cashier lady with black hair . The line was going down to meat department and closing supervisor was busy as well. Shitty management . What kind of boss lets one person do the line by themselves? Employees were nice but the boss needs to do better on having more help at night . Bad boss/management do better.
