Yesterday, I went to Sonic with my family in the evening and ordered two milkshakes a Strawberry Cheesecake Master Shake and an Oreo Cheesecake Master Shake. They were made correctly and tasted great, so I decided to come back today to order the same thing.
When I returned around 12:34 a.m., I noticed Google listed the closing time as 1:00 a.m. I placed my order through the drive-thru, and the employee named Lenay assisted me. She seemed rushed and eager to move things along, and unfortunately, I was given the wrong order.
I politely explained that the shakes were not made the same way as the previous day the strawberry shake had graham cookie pieces, and the Oreo shake had Oreo pieces. Instead of listening, she insisted that the previous staff made them incorrectly and claimed that Master Shakes are not supposed to include those ingredients.
Due to her dismissive attitude and lack of concern, I requested a refund. Afterward, I looked at the menu and saw that the Master Shakes are clearly shown with cookie ingredients included, confirming that I was correct.
I was very disappointed with the experience. Her customer service was careless, and her listening skills were lacking she seemed more focused on closing than helping a customer. What made it worse is that she stated she was the supervisor, yet did not appear knowledgeable about the products on the menu.
This experience was frustrating, especially because I’ve had positive interactions with other staff before. Unfortunately, this situation reflects poorly and could easily cost the company future business.
