I went to this Safeway to make a quick purchase, but the visit turned into a nightmare. First, I tried to use the self-checkout. Right before the final payment screen, the system froze. There were no staff members around to help, so I had no choice but to leave and get in line for a crowded cashier-assisted register. After finally paying there, the receipt printer wouldn't print my receipt. A staff member called someone who seemed to be a manager to fix it, but nothing worked. The manager just shrugged and said, "I can do nothing." Knowing that receipts can be printed from the back office, I politely asked if they could do that for me. The manager made an obvious face of disgust. To make matters worse, both the cashier and the manager repeatedly interrogated me—asking three times each—if I really needed a receipt, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. In the end, there was no apology, no "Thank you for waiting," and the manager practically threw the printed receipt at me. As a customer, being treated with such rudeness and disrespect is completely unacceptable. I will definitely think twice before coming back to this location.

I have been shopping here for many years. It's a large store, clean and well-stocked. Employees are friendly and helpful for the most part. Self-checkout runs smoothly and there are usually enough checkers to keep lines moving. On the downside, the produce is not the best. A lot of the fruit is past it's prime, overripe or not first quality. Avocados many times are too old, you can smell the citrus has gone bad and at times the vegetables show signs of having been sitting around for too long-- wilted, turning brown, etc. I recently noticed that the bags they use do not have handles, which can make them difficult to manage. On top of that, they started charging 25 cents per bag, up from 10 cents. With groceries being so much more expensive than ever before, is it really necessary to squeeze more profits out of consumers who just want to feed their families by charging such a ridiculous amount for a paper bag? From 10 cents each to 25 cents and it's a lower quality bag. Absurd!

Overcharged & they made you wait A LONG time for the hot deli items that are advertised for $5.00 dollar Friday. They often run out of items very early on a Friday. VERY FRUSTRATING when they're out of stock OFTEN on items that they advertise that they have. Disappointing! ☹️
