I had the bacon egg and cheese croissant and was a little disappointed that there was mayonnaise and avocado on the sandwich, there was not mention of either on the menu when looking at what the menu said the sandwich had. My girlfriend had the Belgian waffle and a side of two eggs, she was disappointed there was powdered sugar on it when she stated that she didn’t want anything on the waffle. Overall the food was good and we did eat the food. The staff here is very friendly.

Tried both locations on a trip for the World Cup and this is an amazing find! Best benedict's, hash browns and drinks ever you have to dine in!

I went into this place and they gave us a warm milkshake and we told them we didn't want it. They looked at us like we were crazy. My boyfriend didn't want to get sick from the milk that was left out to make it. We also had a soda that had poor carbonation in it so it was flat. They made us pay for a soda we didn't drink as well. The food was not great either some of it was luke warm or cold not hot. So don't go to this expensive place that is priced to high for poor quality food. Very bad Customer Service too. They were rude when we didn't want to pay for the milkshake or the soda both we took a sip of and didn't drink because they both tasted wrong.

This little breakfast spot tucked away in a vintage strip mall on Tasman is a real surprise. My colleague typed "near me" into Google maps at his hotel, so we decided to take a risk. Totally worth it! The vibe is the old school thumbnail size strip mall Mom n Pop diner that has all but disappeared in the valley. There is a screen with a loop video of breakfast food being professionally cooked, which I found much more pleasing than some random basketball game you often find playing to distract you from the fact that you're having a meal. Then our server arrived. There is a very understated efficiency and concern for well being in this place. I came here two mornings in a row, and while the servers were different, the lovely unimposing attitude was the same. Perfect for a pre-coffee conversation to select your meal. I didn't order my usual test breakfast of corned beef hash because theirs would have been from a can, the server informed me. So I ordered Sal's Scramble with ground beef crumble, mushrooms, spinach and swiss. It arrived rolled up in perfect omelet style. They nailed it. The beef was crispy crumbly inside, with just enough cheese to make it juicy and not so much as to turn it into a fat messy goop. The breakfast potatoes were just the right crispy as well. My colleague got the French toast, and it was spectacular. Strewn with crushed nuts and a dusting of powdered sugar, the thick Texas style toast slices were fluffy and perfect. The following day I sampled the lox and capers Benedict. The poached eggs were really perfectly cooked, whites completely solid, yolks still runny an warm. Generous slice of firm Norwegian style smoked salmon, not the crumbly kind, and the hash browns were perfectly crispy. In closing, I want to mention the coffee. In most diners, the coffee is a thin watery liquid that required multiple refills to try to achieve caffeination. The coffee in this place however is rich, dense, and a coffee shop class sipper. I mean it's not espresso, but for a drip, this service wins special mention. I'll be sending people here, be sure to follow the Google maps directions though, it a little hard to get to especially if you're coming from the Great America direction. But the light rail goes by just a few yards away, so if you're on VTA, put this one on your list of stops.
