While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Santa Clara,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

- TSTrisha SinghSep 21, 20261.0We stopped here for dinner last night around 9 pm. We ordered the meal for two and one of the employees even helped us make the selections on the screen and place the order. However a few minutes after making the payment, they told us we couldn't eat there because they were closing even though their closing time is 10 pm and also to that we would have to take chicken breasts and wings instead of thighs and legs. That itself was disappointing.. if they had told us these things before making the payment, we would have just gone elsewhere for dinner. Still we accepted both the conditions. However after getting home, we realized the tortillas and one of the two salad dressings were missing. The quantity of chicken given was too less and the black beans were too sweet. Very very disappointing overall.

- ODolga duranAug 28, 20261.0I stopped by after work to get a family meal To have a nice dinner and all the chicken was super dry and old looked like it was from the day before, it was so hard I can barely chew on it. I just wish that they won’t sale chicken like this it’s a waste of money and time. Very disappointed
- IHIsaac Cotzojay HernandezAug 10, 20261.0I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a combo with three tacos, and while I was eating, I realized that one of the tacos had no chicken in it. I politely and with a smile mentioned the issue to the manager, expecting her to simply help resolve the problem. Instead, she made me feel like I was stupid or lying. She told me that the amount of chicken they had given me was meant for all three tacos and that I was supposed to divide it among them myself. What bothered me most was not just the missing chicken, but the manager’s attitude and the way she spoke to me. I was respectful when I brought up the issue, and I expected the same in return. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left me very disappointed.
