I would not recommend this place to a friend or colleague 😐 This is the third time I’ve gotten bad produce and I won’t be back. Somehow the Aldis across the street has fresh produce and they only have 3 employees.

I am extremely disappointed by my recent experience at this Albertsons involving Store Manager Mark.
I first want to recognize Monica in the bakery because she was wonderful. She was kind, polite, attentive, helpful, and made placing my bakery orders a great experience. I paid for two bakery orders in advance specifically so that my staff could simply pick them up for our event without having to worry about payment.
I picked up the first cake on Thursday without any problems. It came out wonderful.
Unfortunately, when my staff member Angel picked up the remaining bakery goods on Saturday, my business credit card was charged AGAIN for items I had already paid for.
Angel repeatedly explained that the order had been prepaid and that Albertsons had retained the original receipt. I also had a photograph of the receipt, which I sent to him.
I was on the phone during the interaction and personally heard Store Manager Mark speaking to Angel in a manner I found condescending and dismissive. Angel also told me that Mark put bakery paperwork directly in front of his face, making him feel uncomfortable and disrespected.
Instead of investigating whether the order had already been paid, locating the receipt, reviewing the bakery order, or contacting the appropriate employee, the situation unnecessarily escalated.
Angel ultimately left rather than allowing the situation to escalate further, which I am glad he did.
I personally called the store afterward, specifically asked for Mark, was placed on hold, and ultimately left a detailed voicemail requesting a return call. I received no call Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.
On Monday, I had to take time out of my day, pick up Angel, and physically return to Albertsons to correct the store’s mistake.
When I spoke with Mark, he told me he never received my voicemail. I explained that I do not work for Albertsons and have no way of knowing how they handle calls, voicemails, bakery paperwork, receipts, or internal communications. As a customer, I should not have to know. Management should have procedures for handling those things.
Most concerning, Mark acknowledged that AFTER Angel left Saturday, the store determined that I HAD already paid for the bakery goods and that I needed to be refunded.
So why did nobody call me?
My phone number was associated with the bakery order.
During our Monday conversation about my business credit card and identification, Mark also began talking about EBT and SNAP. Neither EBT nor SNAP had anything to do with me, Angel, or this transaction. I was using a BUSINESS CREDIT CARD.
I was confused as to why government food-assistance programs were even being brought into the conversation. In the context of everything that had already occurred, those comments made an already uncomfortable interaction even more troubling and left us feeling stereotyped and profiled.
To be fair, at the end of our conversation Mark did apologize to Angel again and shook his hand. That final apology appeared sincere, and I appreciated that.
However, this situation should never have reached that point.
A simple review of the bakery order and payment should have resolved the problem. A manager should know how to investigate a customer concern, communicate respectfully, de-escalate a situation, and follow up when the store discovers it made a billing error.
I hope Albertsons Corporate reviews what happened and provides appropriate customer-service, management, de-escalation, and anti-bias training where necessary.
It is unfortunate because Monica in the bakery provided excellent service, and I had previously had good experiences at this store.
Sadly, after this experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to this Albertsons location.

Expensive! Hardly any good deals to catch your attention. You're better off going to food4less,stater bros, Walmart,or Aldi's. At least there you'd get your money's worth! $20 here at Albertsons doesn't give you hardly anything! There's other better grocery stores besides Albertsons!

The store is dark and kind of depressing.
I've bought ground turkey that was bad.
Virtually no interesting sections like fresh olives, interesting cheeses, or fresh bar.
I now travel to the Ralph's on Twin Peaks Rd. Yes, it's out of the way, but when you walk in, it's bright, feels fresh, numerous interesting items on display. There's a variety of cheeses, fresh olives, etc.
Completely different vibe!
