  it had been a very long time since I shopped Safeway , I do have a members rewards card .during check out my card wasn't reading and the cashier said to me put your phone number in and in my haste of the card not working I said for what ? she didn't answer me and kinda whatevered me. so I ended up paying over 4 dollars almost 5 bucks .

  Sooo disappointed with the Manager Omar, & the bakery lady Denise. I went & placed a cake order two weeks ahead of time for my birthday. I ordered a leopard design, with turquoise piping, & wording in hot pink. Denise then told me printed images cost extra.... Denise also told me printed designs ARE NOT allowed on the top, only on the sides. I arrived today to pick up my cake... 1. They laid one strip of leopard print on the top. Nothing on the sides. The strip on the top didn't even cover the whole top of the cake. They placed the strip in the middle, & tried to pipe icing around it to cover the extra space. 2. the piping was a rich blue, no where near turquoise 3. The writing was light pink, no where close to hot pink. 4. Denise told me I had to pay extra for leopard design, I agreed. Omar was so evil about the whole interaction. As I tried explaining to him, he's just like you can get the cake half off or you can go. He didn't even allow me to explain the cake is nothing what I ordered. Your decorator messed up, how you mad at me? I told him I'd take the cake half off, but since they charged me extra for the leopard design, the extra charge needs to be cleared first. He told me NO bcs Denise said she didn't charge extra. So either Denise is stealing money charging extra for designs that truly don't cost extra or Omar is just an evil liar. Either way y'all ruined my birthday. Now I have no cake, & there's nothing that can be done.

  Y'all...I can't count how many times I've watched people confidently walk out with unpaid-for groceries, while security dude in the kevlar vest is standing right by the door!! Actually I can count it...it's five. It's the Wild West over here. Why is Safeway (and by extension, their customers) even paying for security. Literally useless.

  Worst staff.. I was at store to buy baby formula and lady that assisted me was very rude, she said I am planning on snatching stuff from her hands. Come on .. have so common scene. We understand you get tired by end of day. But you have no right to miss behave with costumers .
