On Sunday, June 28th, I ate at Horatio's for brunch. I used this like this place a lot back in the day, but I have to admit, it has fallen off big time! The food isn't the same. Back in the mid-2000s, this restaurant was really good. The food is super mediocre, and the decor of the restaurant is outdated. Here's what I ordered. The French toast and lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes. Both dishes were very basic looking, and the presentation of both was lacking. The French toast tasted okay. Nothing special. The lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes were good at all. There was barely any ricotta. You couldn't taste any type of lemon whatsoever. The pancakes were bland, and the blueberries were wilted and didn't taste good because they were served on warm pancakes. Our waitress Taylor was very nice. She had a great attitude and seemed like she enjoyed her job. She had a great personality and was very bubbly and down to earth. The service was good but not the food. I don't recommend eating at Horatio's. I wouldn't waste your time eating here because there's tons of better restaurants in the Bay Area. I mean how do you mess up French toast and Pancakes? When you see the pictures of the food I post you'll know exactly what I'm talking about and agree with me. Horatio's needs a face lift and they need to step their culinary game up! I'm surprised the executive chef or whoever is running this restaurant would let less than mediocre bland and underwhelming food be served to their customers. The French toast and lemon ricotta pancakes were a waste of calories. The end.

First time coming here for last minute dinner plans! Our waitress Jessica was the best! She was very patient with us and our needs! The food here is very filling and portioned to be pretty big at least bigger than what we anticipated! I loved the interior of the restaurant, you can tell they get a lot of natural sunlight when it's day time going along with the vintage aesthetic! Will be back to try out their prime rib!

We went here for my birthday dinner last night and we didn’t have the greatest experience. Our waitress Jessica wasn’t very attentive and never really checked in on us. The food was also just okay. We ordered from the kids’ menu for our 3 year old and her veggies were very al dente, unsure why they wouldn’t cook them all the way considering they’re for a toddler. This was our first time here and we won’t be coming back, not worth the money as it’s expensive.

Haven't been to this place in probably 20 years. I was looking for a good place to take my wife for our anniversary and thought man its been a while since we have been to Horatio's so we headed out. I got the grilled seafood trio, grilled salmon grilled shrimp and scallops with Yukon potatoes. Food was great all three cooked perfectly. Desert was cheesecake and man it was good. Highly recommend this place.

A friend took me to lunch Tuesday at Horatio's located on the San Leandro Marina. We each picked an option from there Lunch box specials. I got Shrimp Scampi and they got the Salmon Pesto both entres come with a choice of Cllam Chowder or Salad. The soup was Wow at first bite. It was all delicious. We both loved the glasses our drinks were served in. Our server Alan made sure we both got everything we needed and had plenty of time to visit and catch up with each other. We'll definitely be back again. May next time we'll check out happy hours 3-5 pm.
