  Horatio's has really gone downhill from what it once was. Shrinkflation has hit them, while prices have gone up. When we first arrived we were greeted promptly, but the host didn't take into account my elderly father with a cane, he walked way too fast to the table for him to keep up. If I hadn't kept pace with the host, we wouldn't have known where we were going to sit. The server, Wilmer seemed nice, gave us a nice greeting and asked if we wanted any drinks. My brother wanted a fancy drink for two, and Wilmer told him it was for 2, and looked like it was going to be denied. I said I would take the second drink, just so my brother could have it. We put in the order for appetizers, then we ordered our mains and salads. We waited for 15 minutes, hadn't seen our salads, whereas other tables that had arrived after us had received their salads, and garlic bread. We had to ask for garlic bread. The rest of the night seemed to flow better, Wilmer was more attentive, and was quick to help when my mother's steak came out well done, instead of medium rare like she asked. Overall food quality and service were just okay. I grew up eating here, so I was sad that the only thing that made it feel like a special occasion place was the prices.

  Artichoke salad was good, just a little to drenched in dressing for me. Steak was excellent!! Med. done... tender, juicy, and full of flavor., garlic mash and asparagus 😋. Had cheese cake for dessert. That was good. Had like a whipped texture. Service was good. Atmosphere was good.

  Food was tasteless my mashed potatoes had an entire whole potato buried inside. everything was so rushed they kept taking our plates before we were done. I was still chewing when the waitress brought over a box to go. Before my family was done with dessert she laid down the bill.

  Second worst meal of my life. Our table of 7 was set for 4. The additional service arrived after the meal had been served. It took 35 minutes to take our order and nearly a hour for the food to hit the table. It was cold. Our table was never bused.

  This was not my first time at Horatios's and I always enjoy the food and the lovely setting with views of the water. Our server was very attentive. We both had the Admiral's 3 course meal. Our Caesar salad and clam chowder were some of the best we have had. My pasta with shrimp dish was delicious. My fiance had sirloin with crab Bernaise on top. His only complaint was that the steak was fairly thin and small. The creme brulee and key lime pie were very good. A black and white cat kept running back and forth outside, which was extra entertainment. We will definitely be back!
