Delicious. Good portion size, quality food, good sauces and sides, and fast service. There are also a few simple board games you can play while you wait.

Shark Boy Fish & Chips is one of those spots you almost don’t want to tell people about because it’s that good. The fish is honestly some of the best I’ve had in the Bay — super crispy on the outside, light and not greasy at all, and then perfectly flaky inside. You can tell it’s fresh the second you take a bite. The fries are solid and do exactly what they’re supposed to, and the tartar sauce actually has flavor instead of just being an afterthought. What really makes it stand out though is that you’re getting all of this at a really good price, which is rare for seafood around here. The place itself is simple and chill, nothing over the top, just a good vibe where you can sit down and enjoy your food without distractions. You can also tell the owner actually cares, which shows in both the food and how you’re treated when you’re there. It’s the kind of place you try once and then keep coming back to, and I’d easily call it some of the best fish and chips in the Bay.

Amazing food and good vibes! If you are craving excellent fish & chips with southern slant, you need to get yourself here. We tried the fish & shrimp combo with fries and potato salad. Everything arrived super fresh and hot. The fish was light, flaky and moist with a crispy coating. The shrimp were so juicy and sweet and were more prawn-sized than anything. The order came with a ginormous basket of crispy seasoned French fries and a portion of tangy potato salad. You have a choice of sauces to go with. The portions are so generous that we could have honestly just split the order, so bear that in mind when ordering. The staff are friendly and chill and the whole place gave very positive vibes. We will definitely be back!

I don't recommend this place because its an absolute rip off and it seems like they don't respect your money. 3 shrimp tacos with fries cost about $27 -- and each taco only comes with two pieces of shrimp. Very greedy. In my opinion, it seems like they give you a lot of fries so you can get full and think you're getting good value. Shrimp is not that expensive to be charging these ridiculous prices.

This place had been on my bucket list for a while, and after seeing a blogger rave about it on IG, we decided to stop by for dinner while we were in the area and wow, it did not disappoint. The service was phenomenal. Even though you can order from the screens inside, the young man at the front was incredibly helpful asking questions, offering extra sauces, and just genuinely kind. The space itself is clean with plenty of seating. There’s also a patio (I only noticed a sign for it), which is a nice bonus. It truly feels like an underrated hole-in-the-wall spot. The value is amazing and the portions are huge, and everything is high quality and packed with flavor. I ordered the “Hella Hungry,” which came with four fried shrimp, two large pieces of fish, and two sides. I went with mac salad and fries. We also tried the garlic fries and clam chowder, both were phenomenal. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try the potato salad and fish tacos. The owner was also super kind and took the time to ask how we found the place, which made the experience feel even more personal. It’s POC-owned too, which made it feel great to support. I’m still thinking about how good the food was and the seasoning is seriously next level. And the sauce options? So good. The Bam Bam sauce (a smoky chipotle) pairs perfectly with everything. Of course, you’ve also got classics like tartar, Louisiana hot sauce, ranch, and more, they really don’t skimp here. Literally no complaints. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
