This new manager has made everything worse. No problem with any of the employees, or with the store itself, until now, and only because of the new manager

- CNCarmencita NavarroJun 10, 20261.0Today 6/8/2026, I went shopping to Safeway on 5760 Cottle Rd. in San Jose at around 4:30pm and I had found a bag of fresh green grapes, yogurt parfaits, individual strawberry cheesecake, and eggs which I always put them inside a plastic bag just in case they spilled or something. I also bought a bag of really expensive adult diapers for my mother, who has cancer. Anyways, the cashier JERiCHA was so rude with me and careless with my items. She kept looking at her watch while she threw the bag of grapes on the counter and many of the grapes fell out of the back. I told her I didn't want it anymore since it is probably not a really clean counter and then I told her to be careful, but she never said SORRY! to me and just kept ringing my items really fast. I couldnt find the plastic bag for the eggs either, so I asked her, but she didn't answer me. The dessert I bought in the Deli department was totally destroyed, which I showed it to the manager and I started crying because I only come to this SAFEWAY like 1/ month because it is really expensive and I was looking forward to give my ill mother a nice snack with the grapes that I had to cancel because the cashier JERICHA wasn't careful with the bag...I could tell she didn't care!!!! I also work as a cashier in retail and I am always careful and gentle with the items that customers are able to purchase. Her rudeness and mean spirit totally ruined my afternoon that I was so looking forward to spend with my elderly mother by giving her grapes with the ruined dessert. I don't think I will ever come back here!!!!
