I thought this Safeway was open until 2 AM. That’s what shows for hours of operation at least. They Locked the doors at 1:50AM And were only letting people out.

I had went in yesterday8-3-2026 to pick up a drive up and go order waiting like 30 minutes, checked in on my phone Even called the number on the sign called multiple times couldn’t reach anyone I proceeded to go in the store and wait once again couldn’t get any assistance I walked towards the front noticed a blonde, headed front and manager I had notified her that I was waiting and couldn’t get my order She proceeded to tell me That on her end, it says that I was gonna be arriving soon On the zebra Understandable I had explained to her I had called the phone multiple times and still couldn’t get anybody to answer She had rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look proceeded to tell me I wanted to argue with her what happened to seriously just going to picking up some groceries without receiving an attitude after being a customer of 21 years at this location I’m taking my business elsewhere. I will not be disrespected by some white lady who had a hard day. I’m taking my money someplace else.

This is, without question, the worst Safeway I have ever been to. Every visit is disappointing because the customer service is consistently terrible, but today’s experience was the final straw. Around 6–7 p.m., after paying for my groceries at self-checkout, I was walking toward the exit when the self-checkout attendant abruptly called me back and insisted I hadn’t paid. There was no polite “Excuse me, I think there may have been a mistake.” Instead, I was treated like I was trying to steal. I immediately showed him my receipt, proving that I had paid. Even then, he still didn’t believe me and had to check the machine himself. When he realized he was wrong, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience or embarrassment he caused. He simply told me to leave. Being publicly accused of not paying, despite having done nothing wrong, was humiliating. The complete lack of professionalism and accountability was astounding. Unfortunately, this wasn’t an isolated incident. This store has some of the rudest, most unprofessional staff I’ve encountered. Cashiers regularly wear headphones, talk on their phones while working, and barely acknowledge customers. Basic courtesy and customer service seem nonexistent here. I’ve continued shopping at this location only because it’s the closest store to my home, but I honestly can’t remember a single genuinely positive experience. Management has either failed to train its employees or simply doesn’t care about the standards being upheld. It reflects incredibly poorly on the store. The way I was treated left me feeling singled out and profiled, and it is unacceptable that a paying customer can be falsely accused, embarrassed, and then dismissed without so much as an apology. If this is the level of service Safeway considers acceptable, it’s no surprise this location has earned such a poor reputation.

Visited 7/28 and was going to grab lunch for me and my mom, I got a text to check for a certain drink for my mom after purchasing 3 beverages so i had to make a second transaction. They did not have the drink I was looking for so I began to leave and a worker in a red shirt (I believe her name began with an R) remarked "So you're just gonna walk out with that?" I told her I had my receipt even though I should have ignored her with the tone she was using. But with my luck I threw out my receipt and only had a target receipt from my previous errand. This lady immediately asked me where I checked out and went to the lady running the self check out and asked if she saw me (I didn't even see this lady when i went through self check out) and said no. Because I was on a time crunch and it was like only 14$ I just told them i'd rebuy them then comeback later and get a refund for the first charge. These 2 immediately start acting like i'm an idiot for considering this "Why would you buy something when you already bought it" etc etc, but genuinely idk what they wanted me to do, these two are just miserable and seem like they have nothing else to do but harass random people. I eventually put everything back just to not cause trouble, texted my mom for a screenshot of the charge on her company credit card and came back (the 2 ladies were gone by now) and talked to a lady with a black shirt, glasses, i think blonde hair (it was in a bun), explained the situation and she was so much more kind and gave me no hassle. Her reaction to me explaining the situation sounded like this is a reoccurring thing with these two people, they were just so rude when I was being calm and cooperating, if it weren't for the polite lady in black i'd never shop here again.
