Chicken in fried rice could be a little softer.
Everest special kulfi seems to be the vadilal (Indian store one).
Chicken Manchurian sauce had a bit more soya sauce.
Fried momos were crunchy like samosa shell - bit too hard.

The Veg Tandoori Momos at Everest are incredible! The tandoor oven gives them a beautifully smoky, slightly charred, and heavily spiced exterior while keeping the inside perfectly tender. Paired with their dipping sauce, the flavors are absolute perfection. A must-try in San Jose!
Best meal we’ve had in San Jose. We had the jhol dumplings and California chowmein, chilli chicken and piping hot buttered aloo paratha. All full of authentic flavor and made with quality culinary skills. Regards to the chef! We are told it can get super busy on Fridays- Sundays so plan ahead. The food is definitely special here.
I think I’ve found my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Everest serves Indian-inspired Nepali cuisine, offering unique dishes like chow mein, momos (Nepali dumplings), and Manchurian chicken, blending Indian flavors with a touch of Chinese influence.
On this visit, we ordered the Tawa Okra Fry, and it was easily my favorite dish. If you’re an okra fan, this one is a must try. The smaller okra pieces gave it a nice crunch, and it was packed with flavor.
We also had the Aloo Gobi, which was excellent. The potatoes and cauliflower were cooked perfectly and coated in a delicious gravy that paired wonderfully with rice and garlic naan.
Another standout was the Chicken Tikka Kabab. It was juicy, flavorful, and simply delicious.
The service was top notch, with the staff being friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. The restaurant was also very clean and welcoming. Everest is truly a hidden gem in North San Jose and a place I’ll definitely be returning to.
