  We went for dinner. Food was good overall, it came warm, however one main dish (spaghetti nero) was a miss and the focaccia was not that great. Service was attentive and the server was nice and warm. The letdown is the mandatory 20% service charge.

  Was staying at The Marker and they have welcomed free drink at Tratto - might as well have dinner there! Excellent ravioli (also the squid ink pasta and the massive lasagna)! Shout out to Ms Maria Chavez for the warm service.

  Possibly one of the worst experiences I’ve had. While staying at the hotel, we went to Tratto for breakfast, arriving at 9:46am. We had been told breakfast was served until 10:00am, yet a staff member informed us the kitchen was already closed. From the outset, his attitude was unwelcoming—there was no greeting or basic courtesy. He appeared visibly annoyed that the chef had agreed to serve us and made no effort to offer drinks. When we politely asked, he responded by arguing with all three of us rather than assisting. What made the situation worse was that he returned multiple times to continue the disagreement, which felt completely unnecessary and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we didn’t get his name, but this kind of behaviour is not acceptable in a customer-facing role. Overall, a very disappointing and unpleasant experience that significantly impacted our stay.

  For a taste of Italy in the SF theatre district, book a dinner at Tratto. The food was great: I never ate steak tartare and Tratto's version got me hooked. I also ordered the Raviolo Carbonara, which featured a Parmiagano-reggiano foam and crispy guanciale. I am generally not a fan of eggy food, but this was so tasty. It was a modern spin on the carbonara I've eaten in Rome. Try the lavender panna cotta for dessert. I hear that the new Food & Beverage manager Sean Doherty is updating the cocktail menu soon, so I'll stop by pre-theater or for happy hour to sample. Service from Micaela was impeccable. She was so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant, not too loud (and the tile definitely took me back to Venice). Thank you for the experience, Tratto!

  Overcharged the first time I used a drink coupon, denied altogether the second time. Told me the ticket they gave me years ago wasn’t legit because the new ones are glossy prints. Definitely not referring anyone to this scam again.
