A guy at the bar was extremely rude and lowkey racist. Ten minutes after we sat down, while we were still trying to decide what to order, he was already hovering over us trying to take the menus away. While I was still looking at mine, he had his hand on it like he was just waiting to snatch it back, clearly trying to rush us into ordering. He even took the drinks menu away without asking if we were done with it and I literately had to ask for it back. He was the most unfriendly and unwelcoming restaurant staff I encountered during my entire week-long stay in San Francisco.
Our food took 50 minutes to come out.
I honestly don’t know if this guy just didn’t want our business or if he was treating us this way because we are Asian

It was an amazing experience! Our waitress addressed our questions and made sure our drinks never ran out. Food was delicious and the ambiance was on point. Definitely worth a try especially if you like Greek food.

I just got back home from a delicious lunch here at this restaurant. The chicken on a skewer was amazing 🤩! The ambiance was amazing as well . The service was very friendly and very helpful to my needs. I highly recommend this place for lunch. My only regret was I forgot to thank the waitress for her great customer service.

We ordered $600+ of takeout from The Parthenon for my grandpas 85th birthday and could not have been more disappointed. We placed our order at 3:30 for a 5:45 pickup. We arrived to pick up our food 20 minutes early and everything was sitting on the counter, already ready. We drove the 10 minutes to our place, then opened everything up and to our horror, everything was cold, soggy, and gross. I actually can’t believe this cost $600. We emailed management to rectify this and have not heard anything back, which is equally disappointing. Reviews online said this is the best Greek food in SF - ABSOLUTELY not. I would literally never come back here, even if it was free. The only explanation I can think of is that they made our order 2 hours early when we initially placed it, which is not only bad customer service but actually not safe food safety wise and would get them a health violation.
All of this and the food was so bad. The meat and chicken were all somehow overcooked and dry like jerky but also colder than room temperature. The fries were soggy and undercooked. Everything was cold. Terrible terrible terrible.

We arrived for a RESERVATION and were turned away, despite being early.
On 7/31/26 we were 10 mins early for our reservation and were told "the kitchen is closed early" they didn't communicate with us ahead of time or try to rectify the fact we came all the way out there. Just pushed out swiftly and a door shut on us. Our evening was planned around this reservation, really disappointed. We were hoping to find a another good Mediterranean place in the city but would suggest avoiding here.
