Our family came to the Palm Court at RH San Francisco for a special treat for our wedding anniversary. Before I go further let's talk about the atmosphere and ambiance for a little bit. Coming in, you'll see the unique structure that RH is located in.
The neighborhood doesn't feel like it's located in the best parts of San Francisco. Keeping that in mind once you are inside, it makes you feel like you have time traveled back to a house within the Roman period. With a small water fountain in the front, it showcases the aspirations of where RH wants its customers to feel when owning one of their products. With the basement and third floor being RH product based, down the hallway is where the restaurant was located.
It can be tricky if the attendants weren't around but they quickly pointed us toward the right direction to where the restaurant is located.
Since we were here for dinner on a reservation, they seated us fairly quickly. There were palm trees that's very visible from inside the restaurant which gave you the feeling that you're in an indoor outdoor space. There's literally a fountain in the middle of the restaurant and unlike most restaurants where seating are in some type of order, the seats are set where it surrounds the palm trees throughout.
Here's what we got:
1. Prosciutto & Delice Board - (4 out of 5)
The board came how you would expect. The bread paired with the cheese were delicious, same with the deli meat and grapes. I did feel it was slightly underwhelming given how much bread it had. This dish seems to be made for a larger group in general then it was for us, a family of three. I would have much preferred a slightly smaller loaf and more add-ons to the board.
2. Mini Lobster Rolls with Caviar - (4 out of 5)
The caviar they've placed on top of the lobster rolls were handsome in portion. The size of the mini lobster rolls though are really small. I know, it says "mini" on the menu but seriously, it is really really tiny. The lobster itself tasted fresh rightfully seasoned with the buttered and toasted bread, yum!
3. Grilled Asparagus - (5 out of 5)
Nothing to see here, they tasted fine lol.
4. Honey Glazed Salmon - (5 out of 5)
From the appearance, it looks like the honey glazed salmon is burnt. However, once you cut into them and give it a bite, it is well seasoned and is extremely soft. The tenderness of the salmon tells me that they have master this dish down to a tee. Combined with a small portion of mash potatoes, a definite must try for any salmon fans.
5. Sweet Potato Fries - (4 out of 5)
Sweet potato fries, I mean who can resist them at a restaurant like this? Yum!
6. Whole Grilled Branzino - (5 out of 5)
The branzino was cooked in a similar fashion like the salmon. With the right amount of olive oil mixed in, the taste is as tender as ever while not being too strong in its seasoning.
7. Caramelized Banana Split - (5 out of 5)
The caramel sugar on top of the banana is similar to what you would expect in the same fashion where a creme brulee would have it. Combined with the three scoops of vanilla ice cream is hard to resist at the end of our meal.
8. Service - (5 out of 5)
Our waiter was top notch. He came around often and was friendly to chat with. My wife has a tendency to drink a lot of liquids during a meal and most of the times we had to flag people down in other restaurants on refills, not our waiter here! I think he kept coming back so much to fill her water that she had to tell him that she's good lol!
My overall experience inside the Palm Court at RH has been excellent. You can tell RH has invested heavily to showcase why their stuff cost the way it does and this transforms to the restaurant as well.
If you enjoy architecture and ambiance, this one is a definite to check out. The food is great but the menu can definite expand a little more in my opinion. Give it a shot the next time you're close by or that you want to try something new, chances are you'll probably experience something more than you expect. At least that's what it was for us lol.

Yesterday was our first visit to RH Palm Court. We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate hubby’s birthday ! The service from check in at the front, to seating and to dining was impeccable. Shout out to “Cody”, our amazing server who was juggling multiple tables but still took great care of us, making us feel special. The food from appetizer, grilled shrimp and artichokes were delish. Our entrees, filet, branzino, lobster roll and salmon & desert were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The champagne, manhattan and margarita were well balanced. And the ambience ! 10 out of 5 !!! We love RH interiors ! It fits our beige/tan/light wood, comfortable luxury vibe ! This location is much more elegant and luxurious than the one in Yountville. We will def be back for special occasions with our friends ! Please support the servers, they were all hustling and working hard.. ❤️🙏🏽❤️

6 out of 5 for the team, 3 out of 5 for the management! For this level of service you need more of these hard working waiters, so they can actually provide their great service. Keep the team, upgrade your leadership.
