  It’s good for what it is, the lines can be so long you can barely shop. GET THE APP I wish I’d done it sooner!! Life saver❤️! Locked up items maybe annoying but they have a lot of theft so it’s understandable. Can be entertaining when you catch action from the security. The petitioner’s are quite annoying but they’re trying to make money so it’s understandable-I don’t want to be hassled when I already don’t want to be out lol The homeless surround is a bit much

  This store often needs more checkers. Frequently 7-10 people waiting in all lines to check out. Store is clean and well stocked. Area around back of building is blight to neighborhood... trash, homeless camping and graffiti. I called fire department last week when I was visiting the area because a homeless person was screaming and starting the trash in the back of the building on fire at midnight. Please clean up and monitor for the safety of your store, buildings in back of your store and the neighborhood. Thank you.

  The corn promotion (8 for $1) didn’t apply at checkout even after I entered my member phone number. Instead of helping me figure out why, cashier Ann immediately claimed I had already used the promotion before and could only buy it once. I told her this was my first purchase, but she continued insisting otherwise without checking anything. Later I found out the real issue was that the coupon needed to be clipped in the Safeway app. Rather than helping a customer understand the promotion, she assumed I was lying. That’s not acceptable customer service. A simple explanation would have solved the problem in seconds. Very disappointed customer service.

  Workers are all great people doing a good job and trying their best in the middle of a shit storm. Management is genuinely pathetic, I’ve never seen a more poorly run grocery store and it’s frankly embarrassing that they think this is acceptable

  16th and Portero store looks nice. But most non food items locked up. Tried buying shaving razors and waited 5 minutes for case to open. He then took item to customer service where no employee was there to help. I left in disgust and ended up going to grocery outlet where it was cheaper and less hassle. Plus lots of homeless and petition signers who outside. I will not shop there again.
