  We ate our food too fast because it was delicious so we only have a photo of it almost finished! Jay was so kind! And professional, and the food was remarkable! Excellent flavors, truly a master craft of middle eastern food!

  Jay’s is a gem! We had Cajun Fries - piping hot and beautifully seasoned. The Chicken Shawarma plate had a generous portion of chicken and rice, along with a hearty lentil soup and a refreshing salad. It was plenty to share, and easily could be another meal of leftovers. Open late, near Civic Center Bart - check them out!

  We tried the Chicken Shawarma and the Falafel Burger with extra hummus for takeout one day. The Chicken Shawarma plate was okay, but the falafel burger and the hummus were out of this world! They were probably some of the best I've had in San Francisco. I will definitely will be going back for the falafel and the hummus. Hard to find them exactly how I remember them. Oof.

  I first stumbled upon Jay’s Grill 2 weeks ago, and since then, I’ve came back 3 more times bc their food is THAT delicious!!! The beef kebabs and lentil soup are my obsession right now, but I’m determined to try everything else on the menu. The owners and staff are so attentive and sweet. I found out later that it’s Palestinian-owned ❤️

  I’d give them 10 ⭐️ if I could, been here twice first time I was greeted and when on my way they also said “bye” acknowledging me meant a lot , came back and the gentleman said “hi welcome back!” Food is great , fresh and coming from Chicago I had high expectations which they surpassed. Thank you for the welcoming atmosphere and great food.
