  Finding truly authentic South Indian food in San Francisco isn't always easy, which is why we're so happy to have discovered ID Cafe. Every order we've had has been fresh, flavorful, and remarkably consistent. The dosas arrive perfectly crisp, the chutneys have great depth of flavor, and the sambar tastes like it has been prepared with care rather than as an afterthought. Even when ordering takeout, the quality remains excellent and the food travels surprisingly well. What also stands out is the customer service. The team is responsive, friendly, and clearly committed to providing a great experience. As parents, we appreciate having kid-friendly menu choices that make it easy for the entire family to enjoy the meal. Whether you're already familiar with South Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, ID Cafe delivers an authentic and satisfying experience that keeps us coming back.

  Hands down best dosa in SF. I got the Mysore masala dosa and the Vijayawada chicken dosa. We also got the karaipodi idly. The food was great. The sambar is spicy not sweet which is a nice departure from most of the places in SF which tend to serve udipi sambhar. The chutneys were great. Their white chutney is coconut and peanut which is atypical but my favorite. The tomato and coriander chutneys were both great too. We ate the dosa 20-30 mins after picking it up but the dosa was very fresh and hot. The idly was had a nice level of spice and was cooked with ghee. 3/5 for service and atmosphere are because it's a cloud kitchen. So there is no service and atmosphere. 10/10 will order again.

  I was very excited about this branch since I’ve been to ID cafe in east and South Bay. I ordered from DoorDash. The dosa was great, but I have to say idli was okay. It could have been softer. I think worst of all, one of the chutneys was stale - I expect them to have the same standard as their other branches. Hope they improve.
