The store is very large and has lots of items. I got the ice cream I wanted. But I parked on the east side but the door wasn't open.

I’m writing because my recent experience with the self-checkout at your Pacific Beach location was incredibly frustrating and frankly unacceptable. During a single transaction, I was stopped three separate times because the system flagged me for scanning items “too quickly.” Each time, an employee had to come over and review video footage of me scanning my groceries before I could continue. Not only did this significantly slow down the process, it also made me feel like I was being treated as a suspected thief rather than a paying customer. This completely defeats the purpose of self-checkout. The whole reason customers use it is for speed and convenience—but instead, it took longer than going through a regular lane, with repeated interruptions and unnecessary scrutiny. The scanner beep is clearly meant to signal that an item has been registered so it can be placed on the scale. If following that normal process triggers constant reviews, then the system is fundamentally flawed. At this point, I have to ask: why should customers use self-checkout at all if it’s slower, more stressful, and requires constant employee intervention? Why not invest in hiring more checkout clerks instead of implementing a system that creates frustration for both customers and staff? This experience was not just inconvenient—it was aggravating and off-putting enough that I will seriously reconsider shopping at this location if it continues. I strongly urge you to reevaluate how this system is functioning and whether it’s actually serving your customers.

This homeless man named Eric attacked me and my family and 3 young children. Threatened to rape and kill us if we didn’t give him money. Appalled that Vons would let him roam around their store and property. Arrest this individual now. The security and management needs to do their job and protect their customers.

Went into this Vons on Saturday April 4th and got sodas and a few other things. Used my Mom's number to get the deal and was told it's only able to be used once. I said okay I can use another number the cashier said I'll have to delete and start over and rolled his eyes. I said I apologize then the number didn't work and I said I don't have another may you please use like the generic number? He flat out said no I'm starting to get a line. Why, be like that? You don't know what someone is going through. Like I'm homeless and in between jobs so because you're having a bad day I have to pay full price on 5 - 12packs of soda? I will not go in that cashiers line anymore. Really hurt as a customer.
