  Asked Manuel for help with a return and he told me he was “too busy” to go to the registers. I stood by for a second and realized he was busy loading paper in a machine and assisted a customer with a rental as if i couldn't wait in line to be helped next. He was very dismissive/rude and when i said thank you to him, he intentionally ignored me so when i said it again he said no problem with a disgruntled tone. Maybe you guys can train him specifically on customer service. what is the point in having a customer service job with poor customer service skills?

  The fresh cut department used to be amazing, now, since they changed from round bowls to these sharp shaped bowls, its all downhill. For one, its obvious that theres atleast 20% less fruit in these new containers while still charging the same. Secondly most of the fruit is not anywhere near being ripe. Watermelon is always white, pineapple always has middle portions making it super hard, mangos are always hard And I mean ALWAYS. Lastly, they cut their portions massively which leave large gaps in the bowls and unenjoyable bites. This also means they are selling us less than what they list on the tag. Worst fresh cut department. Eastlake is amazing though, always ripe, always cut in small pieces and filling up the bowl like it should. I complain everytime I get these in my online orders because it simply never changes so I had to finally leave a review.

  I was Born and raised in San Diego and lived here for 60 years and I actually met the founder of Vons and that's Von himself. He lived in Linda Vista when I met him , my Van that I had at that time wouldn't start and I was visiting Von nextdoor neighbor so my friend told me to go nextdoor and ask Von if he had any Jumper Cables so I did and this Old Gentleman answer the door told Von what the problem that I had and sure enough here comes Von with a very long extension cord and a Battery Charger. He hook everything up and a 1/2 hour later I started my Van. I rewinded his Electric Cord and thank him for what he did for me. When Von went back inside his home, My Friend said to me do you know who that was, I said to my friend thats your neighbor Von, Yes he's my Neighbor and the Owner of Vons Supermarkets. He was one of the Kindest Human Being that I ever met in my life in the 1980s. Thank You to all of Von family members.
